Results week 2

This week I have not lost any weight, but I do have inches to claim lost. I am not worried about the scale, because I know that the inches are fat that I lost and replaced with lean muscle. WooHoo! This is a very good thing to do.

My goal remains the same for the coming week. Lose one kilo. I believe that this week I will see the scale move. Typical pattern for me. This is my week to lose weight.

I did every challenge and even extra cardio. I can tell a difference with strength. I am really happy to see what this week has in store for me.

To all doing Bootcamp. We can do it.

Today was a light workout day. I did 15 minutes of spinning for bootcamp- the challenge was a brisk walk, but I can spin easier and enjoy it. The electricity was out most of the day. It went out when I was going through my second set on the ball when it went out. I did more than I would have done with the video running.

Lots of good food today. I didn't overeat today, which is great since it is a weekend and I didn't get the munchies.

How is everyone else doing this weekend?

This blog is dedicated to SparkPeople! Thank you for being here and helping so many of us stay on track. It has been a learning curve for me this last year. I have lost almost 30 pounds the last year and gained so much in understanding about my body and food and workouts.

The friendships I have here are just as close as any I ever had. I want to give a special thanks to Coach Nicole for the workout videos that she has us doing during bootcamp. I didn't know I was that stong.

My commitment to health is even stronger with SparkPeople at my side everyday.

SP Anniversary 21st January!

My one year anniversary with SP is coming in less than a week. It is hard for me to believe that a year has passed. I have lost weight and gotten stronger in the last year. One of the greatest gifts I have found on SP is the friendships I have built. That is one of the reason I really appreciate SP so much. I have friends here on SP that I talk to more than most of my family and friends in the USA.

The best part of my SP friends is that we all have very similar goals to be fit. It is my goal this week to get under 100 kilos, but my scale so far seems content to stay right where it is. There are a few days left in the week, so I have not given up yet. The fact is the tape measure told me that I lost an inch more in my hips, so I know the scale will show that weight loss eventually.

What did I do this year?
1. Lost 28 pounds on SP, making my total weight loss at 88 pounds.
2. Found lots of friends.
3. Have gained significant strength to put my cane down- most of the time.
4. Learned how to count calories and how many calories I really need to lose weight.
5. I found out that I am a lot stronger than I thought by participating in the New You Bootcamp Challenge.

My goals for the coming year:
1. Reach my weight goal of 180 by the end of the year
2. Do one of the SP video workouts at least 3 days a week. This is in addition to my normal workout. I really fell in love with the workouts.
3. Stay on course with frequent small meals, tracking as often as I am able to.
4. Help at least one person sign onto SP and mentor her. I want to help one person lose weight this year.

After being frustrated about downloading the video twice, I did each of them twice! Then I did a little over an hour of Turbo Jam. My food choices have been good today too! The best news is that I feel so much stronger. I remember last week thinking I wasn't going to be able to do the plank on the ball, but I did it today. It was not easy, but I totally stuck it until Coach Nicole said to put your knees down!!!

I just want everyone to know that Bootcamp is working. I am getting stronger and losing weight! YES!
