Perseverance is not a long race it is many short races one after another.

I agree, perseverence is key, I like how you said "many short races" it helps break down something that could be a very long haul. Keep up the good work, we all can do it if we have faith and persevere :)

Well Alyssa (granddaughter) had to make a valentine box today for school. We found a red satin box and put a picture of a sparkling valentine in the middle. She wanted butterfly stickers and valentines and flowers and sparking butterflies all over oh yes and twinkling stars. We have a masterpiece. What fun. She is going to be four next week .
We cooked stew and she helped with the vegetables putting them in and when I opened a can she would put it in the boiler. She said we made a good stew.
One good thing about having her around you don't think about eating , you are too busy.
My son is raising his two children by himself and I asked him today did he want to make the valentine box, he said please mother You do the crafts. I will if I have too but I would appreciate your help, You know you enjoy doing it. He has did some projects with the kids and the teachers really love him for doing it. He is not real talented at crafts but he sure tries. Hey, I'm on day 31. Can't hardly believe it. I hope the year keeps on this good.

Has anyone seen Mimi Kirk on youtube. She is something else. She is vegan. She is 71 and looks like she is 50. That's what a healthy lifestyle can do for you. I'm not vegan but I do eat a lot of fruits and vegetables and try to remember to drink a green drink a day. I like to eat my fish and seafood a little too much for vegan but I love the recipes and use them that is on spark. I'm not to big on chicken and beef. I will eat a little portion occasionally. I really like Sparks motto of there is nothing you can not eat in moderation. There are a lot of things I stay away from, like too much sugar, or fried, but that is my choice, that's what works for me.
I may get an exercise room this summer. I would love to be able to just go in my room, do a relay of exercise, and walk out. I have my treadmill and recumbent bike in my office. My weights or on the back porch. I want to get an elliptical machine, I think.
I started my second collage. I can't understand why I did not want to do one. I love looking at it on my desk and dreaming. Oh well we live and learn, I hope.

I just did a search on MIM Kirk.I didn't find the utube but found a video of her doing an interview on a eating clean web site. That is some 70 yr old. Thanks for mentioning her.It was interesting.
It is nice to have a room just for exercise. We turned our back small bed room into one for both of us. The only one that ever used the room is Brianna so we bought a twin air mattress for her on few occasions she stays over night. I have half the room and Bill has half. But It is great. You will love having a room just for exercise.
Sounds like you are doing great with your eating.
have a great evening

Inspirational words

Obstacles don't have to stop you. If you run into a wall, don't turn around and give up!
Figure out how to climb it, go throught it, or work around it.

Patience, persistence and perspiration make an unbeatable combination for success.

One of my most favorite sayings I have heard is "There are no problems, only solutions."

Unfortunately, one of the only solutions to one of my problems is that I cant add more hours to a day!!!

Don't forget, crawl under it! I feel like like I'm crawling most days, sometimes an army crawl (with purpose) other days, I'm just dragging my butt around! Thanks for your inspiration and you kind response to my post on the message boards!

Good day

Sunday, January 31, 2010

It has been a most relaxing and wonderful day. We lazed around, rode the recumbent bike,
I fixed supper where we would be prepared to eat at home, we went for a ride in the country, the sun was shining. We came home and warmed up supper, chicken and noodles made with country fresh butter, chicken broth and lots of seasonings, of course whole wheat noodles, some kind of good.
I have a praise also. Yesterday we went off for five hours and left a pan of water on the stove.
We did not think of it until we were almost home and we both about had a heartattack. We did not know what we were going to find if anything. The pan was empty and just starting to ruin the bottom of the pan. We were so thankful and I believe the Lord was watching over us, had to be, five hour!!!!!!!. I am so thankful and I just wanted to share with my friends. We have a lot to be thankful for and I'm sure a lot of times we are saved from things that we don't even know about. I could tell some stories and I may later on my blogs.
Sweetly be. And keep on Sparking.
