Today felt long... But I turned it around!

I didn't get off of work until almost 6:00pm today and it was a long day. I definitely looked for an out on the gym, calling my hubby on the way home asking "are you sure you're okay with my going to the gym?" Bless my supportive sweetheart- who wouldn't give me an out. So... Reluctantly... I went. The parking lot was filled to the hilt. 6:30-8:30pm is the busiest time of day with tons of teenagers all over the place, all stretching space gone...it...is... CROWDED!! So I'm a bit cranky- but I workout anyway... I'm in the middle of my 33 minute jog and I find myself giving up... Thank goodness for a good music playlist... P!nk's song "Try" came on and boy did I do some reflecting... By the end of the song I was pumped! I made the best of the rest of my workout, really pushing myself to finish it strong!

10,278 steps- got all my water in- under my calorie goal. Avoided Nachos at an Anniversary Party at work... Also didn't eat the chocolates that someone left on my desk for Valentines, bringing them home to the kids instead.

Today was great!! Hit the gym, ending the day at 10,082 steps!! Stayed under my calories... Drank all my water. Loving Tuesday!!

I just got back from the movies with my sister and a friend. We watched Vampire Academy. I liked it more than I thought I would.

Now time to snuggle with my babies and read bed time stories! Nighty night!

Manic Monday?

Today just didn't go as planned. I had a feeling that it wouldn't... Maybe that's what jinxed me. I left late for work, forgetting my gym clothes as I ran out of the door. I had an appointment with my esthetician right after work. She was running late, so my appointment ended a hour later than planned. On my way home, hubby text saying someone wanted to meet up to look at a car he's selling- and we really need the money- so had to come strait home. 3rd day in a row without the gym.... Feeling lost. All day at work I walk as much as possible, taking stairs and parking far for a walk- but it's not enough of a burn for me.

Enough of the negative.... On a positive note, I'm ending the day under calorie goal. Sure my dinner is almonds and popcorn- but hey- I'm still under. And.... Tomorrow is a new day!

    Way to stay in your calorie range! I feel lost if I don't workout too. I feel more accomplished all around when I do a workout. I hope you get to the gym today!

    It WILL get better! I have those days here too! That was me two weeks ago. Just keep journaling those foods and getting the extra walking in. You're making good choices. emoticon

Just Another Sunday

Sundays are my favorite work day... Very few people in the office and it gives me the chance to catch up and set up/plan my work week. Outside of work, it's my least favorite day... My gym is only open from 1030-1730 on Sundays- right when I'm at work. It's because of this that I've designated Sundays as my one day off a week. But man.... Do I feel unproductive seeing only 4500 steps for the day.

I woke up exhausted. Think this cold finally is kicking me. Listened to my body, took it easy and drank lots of fluids. Hoping this will set me up for a great week!!

    Keep hydrating. I fought off two colds with Zycam. They went away before any real symptoms developed. I'm hoping it stays away. I hope your week goes well!

    Keep drinking those fluids and resting... getting back out there too soon will make the cold worse! (Ask me how I know. Cuz sometimes I don't think things through...)
