6.7lb loss- Happy Valentines Indeed!

My mid month weigh in turned out better then expected. I'm not at all complaining about a 6.7lb loss! It was a great way to start the morning!! Hopefully I can keep up the momentum for the remainder of the month.... Wait.... Let me try that again... I WILL finish the month strong. As I mentioned in my last blog, I set a very reasonable goal of just 1lb per week. So I'd be happy ending the month at 264... Two more weeks- I can do that!! Then I'll be sure to post my progress pic too!

For valentines we had sushi and dessert- two things i've not had for over 6 weeks! Very delicious but man am I full!! I definitely can't eat as much rice as I used to. I'm so bloated too, I assume from eating it with soy sauce. Just trying to drink water to help drown out all that sodium! Not in any hurry to eat like this again...

Tax day tomorrow for me... Fingers crossed that the government will be kind this year!

Working late....weigh in tomorrow AM!

I work until midnight one night per week, usually Thursdays. So that's where this blog is brought to you from... Knowing I was going to be at work all night, I was sure to plan out my day accordingly!

I got the gym done early. My left heel has been hurting a little, so no jogging for me today- did the bike instead... It was a good workout. I felt like I got a good burn today. Next a healthy lunch and then packed and tracked my dinner. It was a delicious salad with blue cheese, slivered almonds and shrimp. A perfect dinner to fill me up and not go over my calories!

So I'm at 11,004 steps right now, though I'm sure I'll end the day with more than that! I'm proud of myself that I'm exceeding my 10,000 step goal daily! It really makes me feel like I've accomplished something.

Weighing in tomorrow morning. I used to be obsessed with the scale and weigh everyday. Seeing the fluctuation daily would give me highs and lows, making me feel bipolar. Seeing as my focus this time around is POSITIVITY, I've decided to only weigh twice a month (once on the first and once mid way through). This has been a hard discipline for me. I'm always so tempted to take a peek. But learning discipline and not giving into temptation is a huge part of this journey and I'm determined to succeed. I've set my goal very reasonably and realistically at only 1 pound per week and if I lose more, great. I'd love to see the scale at 271.6 or lower tomorrow- but if it's not, at least I know I did all I can. Also, I'll remind myself of all I've accomplished in the past 6wks!

    WTG!! I'm a daily weigher. I've done the bi-weekly, monthly and weekly weighing. I just went through a period where I needed to know what was causing certain gain. I knew I would have a gain today because I ate after 6 pm. It never fails. I'm just glad I'm finally getting to know my body and listening to it.

Good for you on your positive outlook and getting your steps in each day and beyond!

    I can't wait for tomorrow either! lol emoticon I'm excited for you!! Oh and I also think it's a great idea to weigh in bi-monthly because I agree! Weighing in daily becomes a huge head game...I have been struggling with this to the point I want to get rid of the scale altogether or have someone hide it from me until the month is up lol.

I love that your focus is positivity first and foremost and you're doing a fantastic job maintaining that, so no matter what the scale says tomorrow you are totally kicking butt in that department and positivity is probably the most important factor of this whole thing.

P.S I'm feeling better thanks! Glad it wasn't some sort of flu bug...should have known better than to go for the orange juice...lesson learned....forever emoticon lol

Today felt long... But I turned it around!

I didn't get off of work until almost 6:00pm today and it was a long day. I definitely looked for an out on the gym, calling my hubby on the way home asking "are you sure you're okay with my going to the gym?" Bless my supportive sweetheart- who wouldn't give me an out. So... Reluctantly... I went. The parking lot was filled to the hilt. 6:30-8:30pm is the busiest time of day with tons of teenagers all over the place, all stretching space gone...it...is... CROWDED!! So I'm a bit cranky- but I workout anyway... I'm in the middle of my 33 minute jog and I find myself giving up... Thank goodness for a good music playlist... P!nk's song "Try" came on and boy did I do some reflecting... By the end of the song I was pumped! I made the best of the rest of my workout, really pushing myself to finish it strong!

10,278 steps- got all my water in- under my calorie goal. Avoided Nachos at an Anniversary Party at work... Also didn't eat the chocolates that someone left on my desk for Valentines, bringing them home to the kids instead.

Ending the day happy!!

Today was great!! Hit the gym, ending the day at 10,082 steps!! Stayed under my calories... Drank all my water. Loving Tuesday!!

I just got back from the movies with my sister and a friend. We watched Vampire Academy. I liked it more than I thought I would.

Now time to snuggle with my babies and read bed time stories! Nighty night!
