I killed it... yep... again! I don't want to jinx myself, but I'm on a roll. 10,590 steps today! Again, over my goal of 10,000! I didn't work out for that long at the gym today and didn't feel like I really worked as hard as I could have... but still managed to get there and get it done!
I went to dinner tonight with a friend from out of town. We went to Chili's and I was sure to look at the menu early in the day and decide on a few options within my calorie range. I settled for the black bean burger with sweet potato fries. I had a mission at the start of the meal, no appetizer and only eat half of my plate....... I DID IT!!! YAY!! After dinner we went to a movie... I only had about 2 cups of unbuttered popcorn... YAY! In the past I would have ordered the large with extra butter then added salt... not any more!!!
So it was a great day! I was under my calories, drank all my water, made my step goal.... Did you accomplish any of your set goals today?

Yep! I killed it! Not only was I just under my calories for the day, I also went over my step goal! 11,646 steps! And probably more, as I walked back and forth from the office to my bedroom a couple of times. I've been almost to 10,000 steps for several days, but didn't get over it until today! YAY! That 46 minutes at the gym paid off!

Birthday parties..... It's the only time I ever eat cake. My work will sometimes put things out for associates- like cupcakes and I never have any. Today was my nieces birthday. She turned 6. She had a "Frozen" themed birthday- the kids had so much fun. The adults had fun telling jokes and catching up. And yes... I ate cake... and I made sure to not go over my calories for the day!
I've not had sugar in a long time... and as good as that cake tasted, the headache I got after eating it made it soooo not worth it.
Started the day off right, with the gym- lots of water- and errands... Ending the day with 8586 steps. Another great day!

For so many reasons, I love Fridays! It's my day off and I get to hit the gym early... totally different crowd day vs. nights. Too many young kids 'horse-playing' in the evenings... man that made me sound old. I digress.... I enjoy Fridays because I get to spend time with my kids! I am a working mom and usually am away 9-10 hours a day. So I treasure my days off and the time I get to spend with them. Also, my dear hubby gets a much needed and deserved break.... he's an amazing stay at home Dad. I'm thankful for the job he does every day.
Today I hit the gym early. 46 minutes of cardio. I'm almost to my step goal (10,000) for the day! I had a healthy breakfast. I've done great with drinking my water.
We went to Sweet Tomatoes for lunch as a family. I started off great with a lovely salad, fat free dressing... then I went for the Indian Bread, thinking if I was going to eat bread it was the wisest choice... Learned my lesson... check out the calories BEFORE you eat it... 200 calories a slice, then add the butter on top... phew.... So I'm slightly over my calories for the day. But, I HAD A GREAT DAY!!!
I'm thankful that the sun was shining, that the sky was blue, that I got to spend time with my family, that I got my workout in. Today was a great day!
