So after my binge and TOM hitting and the weigh in yesterday, I'm feeling better this morning. My first week of this challenge (of weighing daily) was so great, that it made my second week disappointing. Every day is different. Every week is different. I had made the mistake of readjusting my goals and I was so disappointed about not hitting my "new" goal, that I didn't even pay attention to the fact that I had beat my origional goal by 2lbs! Why were my origional goals not good enough? Why did I feel like I had to do more? Why didn't I just continue to celebrate what I have achieved? NO MORE NEGETIVE THOUGHTS!! NO MORE SELLING MYSELF SHORT!! I've done well! I'm proud of what I've done. I will continue to do well!

    U should be proud of ever single little step... Even if its a negative......u ask..Y be proud of a negative??? Because it creates a learning experience! It creates a moment to pull upon for inspiration.

The idea of weighing yourself ideas promotes accountability but it also promotes relying on the scale for your mood. You can drink a glass of water or not empty your bladder fully and that can effect the scale. Once a week, at the same time is all the accountability you need! And SP of course ;)

So, don't pull a me and let your mood be affected by your scale. One year I had a goal in mind for my birthday... When I stepped on that scale and I didn't see onderland I was devesated where I broke into tears at the gym that morning and had to leave. Crazy right.....exactly!!! And the very next week it was there. Now I fight to get back to it and I do that with sparkera and supporters by my side!

So, I was bad last night. I went over my calories and overate. I didn't understand why until I got up this morning! Stupid TOM! Makes me crave salty fatty crap that my body doesn't need and makes the scale move in the wrong direction. I've got an IUD,so I never really know if/when it's going to hit. Grrrrrr..... I'm going to kick butt at the gym today to make up for my night of terror!

    Well, I had a bad day of eats yesterday, and it wasn't even my TOM so I feel ya! I never weigh myself that week either because I always weigh more, always. I just skip the scale until the next week. Better for my psyche. Have a great day! emoticon

    Don't be too hard on yourself. We tend to bang ourselves more than others would. Keep track of your dates, so you can have an idea when TOM will come visiting again. Keep healthy food around at that time.

Because we have hormones, women have a hard time keeping their weight down as it can fluctuate so much. Instead of weighing in every day, why don't you use body measurements and clothing to measure your progress. For me, weighing in daily would provoke anxiety so I don't do it as religiously as I did before.

Another Sunday

And here I find myself again.... a Sunday... busy work day- little physcial activity. Guess it's okay to have one day of rest. I'm only at 4K steps and it's already 3:30pm. It's too cold to walk outside today and my gym will be closed by the time I leave work. Typical Sunday. At least I should be getting off a little early and can go home and spend time with the kiddos... and the scale was down this morning! It's always good to see the positives!

Family Day!

I got a really good workout at the gym this morning... accomplishing all my 10K steps as I was walking out the door. After that, we went as a family to an amusement park. The kids had fun and I got another 6K steps in. Great day!

Zumba!

So, I tried Zumba for the first time today... wow... did I feel uncoordinated. I wanted to try it, as everyone says they get a great burn doing it... they were right. I went to the Zumba light class and I was the youngest one there. Those old ladies (and one gent) kicked my butt. It was fun. I will be going again. I'll stick with the light until I get the hang of it. I hope that I'll feel less awkward the more I do it.

I binged last night on cream cheese and bagel chips. Not my proudest moment. I knew I'd pay for the salt and fat on the scale this morning... and I did... alas, I am human and make mistakes. Live and learn.

    They have Zumba at my gym but haven't been able to try it. They also have something called Boqua or something like that. That looks different too.

    I suck at zumba. My hips just dont shake like that and I am certainly not the most graceful person I know. Good for you for trying something new. Glad you had fun. And a binge here and there can sometimes be helpful so kudos to you for not beating yourself up!

    So happy you finally tried it! It does take some getting used to. I would say 4-5 classes and you will feel like a pro. Most moves are variations on the same few. So after awhile even the new ones come to u pretty easy.
