It's Monday Morning in Northern Michigan and the heats ON

Well it's suppose to be August but it's 34 degrees this morning and the heats on. We never really had a summer this year. It's been rainy and cold all summer we were hoping for a warm fall but it looks like it's going to be a LONG winter instead.

    I did really enjoy the mild summer we had, but I feel for you friends Up-North.

    Oh boy, it will get challenging as it gets colder in MI. Hang in there. My hands were freezing this morning. I live in the lower (Oakland co) and It was mid 40's. Keep sparking.

Empty Nest Now

Well the house is empty just my hubby and I again it's too darn quiet already I love activity busyness when it's just the two of us its too QUIET around here

    That will be me soon and I am already seeing it's not going to be easy. Guess the key is trying to find things to keep us busy; figure out what we like and go out and do it now. Good luck and keep me posted on your progress of overcoming this empty nest syndrome.

    My hubby & I raised 4 daughters, along with his stepsisters to girls. We had someone living in the home with us since the beginning of our marriage. We have been married 34 yrs, everybody said I would have trouble with the emptynest syndrome. NOT!! I totally love having the house to ourselves. Dont get me wrong I love my grown, but gone from the house daughters, and I talk to them daily, love having the grandkids come spend the night, but enjoy my quiet home when they are gone. emoticon

    DH can't wait for the day that happens in our house - although with the huge age age in our children - that will be many many years away (our youngest just turned 18 months a few days ago - while our oldest is almost 14 - btw, I've been married 16 yrs) I admit I would still love to have more - but we're done :(

Heading back into the empty nest

Spending the weekend moving our youngest back into College She's so excited and I'm happy for her but at the same time I hate the quiet . My husband and I try to stay busy but it's just not the same. He works really early so he's exhausted and heads to bed early I am a night owl so I spend lots of time alone. We're really a close bunch and now all our girls have married ( expect the youngers )and moved on we have grandkids also but they all live FAR away
