  It's a tough thing if you're used to fast food to go cold turkey, but try it, one day at a time, and see how you feel after TWO weeks of NOT going. You'll be amazed at how much better your feel and how much better REAL food tastes once you recondition your tongue and tastes to less salt and sugar. Good luck!

Facing the Facts... and making the changes

Well where do I begin... I have to face the truth... over 4 years ago I decided that I wanted to get my life back. To be healthy, for myself, my husband and children. So I just got up one morning and did it. I lost 50 pounds the sad thing is I never really thought that I was over weight I mean a little big but not obese. You see I have always exercised my entire life... but I've eaten whatever and whenever I wanted. So I changed my attitude and started to think about what was good for my body... what it needed. Well I actually did it in 6 months and felt AMAZING. I felt 15 years younger... It was wonderful and I kept it off for 4 years> I'm ashamed to admitt that it didn't last. You see my entire life has been about my husband and my kids. They were the reason that I got up in the morning and I loved it. Suddenly the last of our 4 beautiful children left for College and I was home alone. WOW what an ajustment for me. I was totally lost and felt like I had no purpose. So what did I do I ATE AND ATE until in just 5 short months I have put 25 + pounds and don't even remember what I ate. Eating became my means of entertainment. I'd do anything to eat out so that I could be around people and activity. Everytime I look in the mirro ( although I do everything possible not to look ) I feel completely ashamed....TOTAllY

I Can see the "WOW she put the weight back on" looks on family and friends faces which only makes it worse... I'm sooooo mad at myself.

Now it's sooo hard to lose weight ( it's the perimenopause thing that's happening to me now) I feel awful most of the time....

I don't go out much any more and when I do it's just real quick doing whatever I can to not make eye contact .... Hoping no one notices me.

So there that feels great to finally put it all out there... hopefully I'll be able to move forward now...

Well woke up to a foot of new snow... no outside running today.. cars in the ditch everywhere... every school closed but the sun has come out and it's 39 degrees right now... snow should be gone by morning.... lol heading down on the treadmill. Have a great day!!

Can't believe that we've gotten 3 inches of snow in an hour... it's went from raining to thunder and lightening to sleet snow and now this...

  Wow is right. What happened to March? Hope you didn't let the weather deter you from your plans for fitness for the day. Makes you glad you can do so many different exercises at home!
