So I stepped on the scale this morning and it said 125!!! That's my goal weight! Now, my weight tends to fluctuate by a few pounds, so I'm sure tomorrow it will be back at 128 or so, but still, woo hoo!!!
Now that the scale says what I want it to, now I've just got to convert some fat into muscle mass. I still don't like how much fat is around my thighs though I'm happy with my tummy now :) I think it's the cellulite - without that I'd probably be fine with how my legs look, with the one exception of my inner thigh rub. I'm tired of having to replace my jeans because they get worn where my thighs rub together :(
But yeah, this Swimsuit Bootcamp is great!!! I think I'll continue the workouts even after the challenge is done. Coach Nicole is the best :) While I don't expect to see HUGE results at the end of the month, I can tell already that I'm getting a little more toned.
I think another thing that has helped is joining the Virtual Racing team. It's nice to be held accountable for the miles I run. I actually ran 3 whole miles yesterday just because I knew I'd be letting my team down if I didn't do them. I still have four more miles to get in today and tomorrow, but that doesn't seem like a huge task after running three yesterday, plus I felt like I could have even gone further!
Anyway, I'm feeling great and looking forward to picking out my new bikini :) Oh, and getting a fake tan, lol! No pasty legs for me!

Well I joined the Swimsuit Bootcamp team. I gotta get ready for Ruthie's wedding! Not for the wedding actually, but home = Florida = BEACH = SWIMSUIT!!! I haven't worn a swimsuit in public since last summer when we went to the lake and that was IT for the summer - I think I wore board shorts over it, too, and it was a one piece, lol. So I've got an old bikini on right now, and when I say old, I mean OLD - I wore this in 8th grade, lol! (Yes I had stopped growing by that point). So a 10 year old swimsuit. My reward for getting my body into bikini shape will be a new bikini. Like a real one. The kind you tie with a string, not just a "two piece". I've never been able to wear a triangle or halter top so I'm hoping that I'll be able to find one that fits and looks good. Anyway, my before pics are in my photo gallery. I know they're not that bad, but they're bad enough that I don't feel comfortable wearing a bikini out in public, especially when my size 2 SIL is going to be nearby, lol :)

I just got my results back from my labs! I'm so excited! My thyroid levels are totally normal now, TSH at 1.5! (It was over 100 before!).
In addition, my cholesterol is totally awesome now! A thyroid imbalance can make you have high cholesterol, so I'm sure this is mostly from fixing that, but it might also have something to do with exercise and stuff. Anyway, here's the breakdown:
Total cholesterol:
Before: 254
After: 160 - woo hoo!
Triglycerides:
Before: 66
After: 65
HDL (good cholesterol):
Before: 61
After: 60
LDL (bad cholesterol):
Before: 180 - yikes!
After: 87 - woo hoo!!!
The doc wanted to put me on cholesterol meds and I'm like no, let's see how my thyroid meds and my new exercise program work. And they sure did!!!

I just made a Spark Team for people who love Shaklee products. If you've never heard of Shaklee, it's a company with over 50 years in business. Their products range from nutritional supplements and weight loss to green cleaning products to beauty and skin care to water and air purification. Oprah has featured the Get Clean products on her show several times now.
My hubby was a "Shaklee baby" (grew up in a Shaklee home) and his immune system is like a brick wall. Or at least, it was up until this past year or so since he had stopped taking his vitamins. Well, he's back on them, so we'll see how much better he feels!
Their line of Cinch products are just awesome! Cinch is their weight loss product line, though they focus more on losing inches than pounds. Cinch is neat because it helps to preserve your muscle while you lose fat. Plus it's not full of glucose like some other shakes and bars. My favorite is the vanilla shake mix, so yummy! Plus the lemon cranberry snack bars... mmm!!!
And I love using the H2 cleaner around my birds because I don't have to worry about the toxic fumes from regular cleaners hurting their sensitive respiratory systems. Plus, H2 is so much cheaper than conventional cleaners!
Anyway, I sound like an advertisement, but if you're interested in Shaklee, go ahead an join the team and we can answer any questions you have :) And if you're a distributor then definitely join the team! We all can benefit from your knowledge.

Well I've decided to start racing. That's right. I'm becoming a runner. Now understand, my body is not designed to run. I have wide hips so my legs don't go straight up and down unless I'm standing with my feet about 12 inches apart, lol. I've never been fast, but I've always been persistent. I hate stopping to walk, even if sometimes people can walk faster than I run when I'm tired, lol! Well, I did a mile yesterday and had my hubby time me. 1.1 miles in 11:18. Not bad for me! When I was at the AF Academy, I had to do 1.5 miles in under 13:34. My best time was 12:13 I think. That's about an 8 minute mile. I'd love to get there again!
I also joined the Virtual Racing SparkTeam. I just missed the race this weekend, but I'll be joining the one two weekends from now. It's just a one-miler, so we'll see how fast I can go!
