Bad choices

Well I made some bad choices yesterday. I was doing alright at the start - Russ made me a homemade egg, ham, and cheese bagel before I headed off to my muster. Once there, I avoided the donuts at least, but got some fruit, a mini cinnamon roll, and a piece of pound cake. Could have been worse. Once I got home I had a bowl of cereal and some cottage cheese with tomatoes. Still good. THEN we dropped off some trash at our housing office and they were cooking hot dogs. So even though I had already had lunch, I had a hot dog, chips, a coke, and a cookie! Then to top it off we went to Red Lobster because I hadn't planned anything for dinner and instead of having the broiled salmon like I had planned, I had the Salmon New Orleans (which is soooo good) that was topped with shrimp in a rich butter sauce. Very very tasty. I had about 3/4 of it and 3/4 of my rice and all my broccoli, which put together had over 700 calories!!! And that's about how far over my calorie limit I was for the day. Ai yi yi...

But I'm off to a good start this morning. I'll have to do some serious running around in softball practice today... :)

Gotta get back on track

So this week wasn't such a hot week for exercising. But that's ok, I'll get back on track this week. I'm planning on planting my flower beds this week and getting some veggie plants! I'm thinking tomatoes for sure, and a bunch of herbs. I'd like to do sugar snap peas and green beans, but I'm not sure how well they'd grow here. I suppose I should get some advice from people who've lived here a long time.

Woo hoo, I just got the 2500 point trophy! I love SparkPoints :) I think it's great that you can earn them for doing all sorts of healthy things - tracking your food, tracking your fitness, educating yourself by reading articles and emails, logging in every day. What I think is really cool is that you can earn more points by posting on the message boards than almost anything else (cardio minutes are the exception). That's something I've been working on because I tend to be kinda a loner, and it is so true that having support can help you reach your goals - not just in weight loss but in so many other things in life.

I just love my Zumba class at the gym. It's so much fun and I'm totally sweating after! The best part is that there are so many people in the class that I can disappear and shake my moneymaker without feeling self-conscious, lol.

Skinny Jeans

So my "skinny jeans" are a junior's size 7-8. The jeans I'm wearing right now are also a size 8, but it's a night and day difference. Well, the other day I tried them on. I ZIPPED THEM UP! I had to suck in my stomach to do it, but I DID IT! Yesss!

I also wore my purple dress on Easter that I hadn't been able to fit in since I got out of the military. It wasn't a perfect fit, but it fit well enough to wear it in public! (And without worrying about ripping it by sitting down, lol)
