Moving Forward

Well, a lot has happened since my last post. I have changed careers and thus, lost my gym membership. I have finally gotten my insurance paperwork completed at my new job and will be starting a new gym membership that is complimentary with the insurance. I plan on looking at the schedules for the various gym locations and planning to workout whenever I can. I want to start burning those calories and lowering my cholesterol. I don't have as much time to work with my support group as they are thirty miles to the north and my work schedule doesn't allow me to get up there when I need to. I hope to make new friends at the new gym to keep my fitness focused and positively motivated. Cheers!

After having not been to the gym since late July, my return on Monday really kicked me in the derrière to say the least. Zumba was tough. It felt like the first time I had ever done it; however, I am using that as my motivation for staying with my routine. I don't want to feel that way again! Now I finally have my copy of The Spark (thanks Val) and I am becoming more serious about attaining my goals, as well as changing some unrealistic goals and making my vague goals more specific to increase my accountability. I just can't wait for the fall weather to come back this weekend. ZUMBA AGAIN TONIGHT! emoticon

Getting back on track

Well, the cooler weather has finally arrived and I'm ready to start walking regularly and to start tracking every phase of my transition, nutrition, and fitness. I will keep cheering on those in my support team.

Feeling Optimistic

Today I have decided that I am going to stop making excuses. If I can't make it to the gym, I am going to try to get fitness minutes in any way I can. I will start tracking my calories consumed. I will start being more positive and assertive. I am not sure what it is, but the promise of Autumn's cooler temperatures to come has me hopeful. I am not going to let myself down ... I am tired of being at a standstill in all aspects of my life — not making any progress anywhere. emoticon emoticon
