If wishes came true...

Sunday, November 09, 2008

This year:
I wish and really want to do cardio 3x/week & weight training 2x/week. I will plan ahead and be sure to have the boys signed up for babysitting at the gym in advance. I will do 60 min's of cardio on Monday/Tuesday and Thursday, and do Body Pump on Wednesday and Friday.

I wish and really want to drink 64oz of water (or more) every day. I will keep my water bottle with me and filled all day long. I will try to drink at least 8 oz with every meal.

I wish and really want to log all my food at least 5 days/week. I will try to log after each meal, instead of waiting until the end of the day.

I wish and really want to lose 10 pounds by the end of the year. I will concentrate on the goals above and should see the results by the end of the year.

I wish and really want to do more fun, healthy and active things with the boys. I will plan to do at least one outdoor activity with Orrin & Alvah each week.

I wish and really want to spend more quality time with my husband. I will plan at least one date night per month.

I know you can do all that stuff because you RULE! Just break it down into baby steps and don't get overwhelmed by trying it do it all at once...not that I could imagine you doing that. ;) Take your first wish and break it down into something smaller that you can start doing and tracking to see your progress...then start the next one!

You can do it!

Progress

Saturday, September 29, 2007

I finally got new pictures posted. I can really see a difference from May. Not as much as I'd hoped for, but nothing to complain about either. Now I just need to keep myself on track and lose even more by next summer. Hopefully that suit will be WAY too big by June of 2008!

Way to go!! Every little bit helps!! I think this is a long journey we're on!! Hey, where did you tell me you lived? Got any great ideas where we should go in those northeastern states? - - we're planning a trip that way for next September. Anyway, back to the task at hand - - good luck -- you can do it!

Laziness??

Tuesday, August 07, 2007

Today's Healthy Reflection got me. I have been lazy for about 3 months now, blaming it on "plateauing" and being busy. No one else can keep my eating in check or get me to the gym except for me! Losing weight won't "get done eventually", and it certainly can't be "done by someone else". I need to get my priorities straight again, spend more time on planning healthy meals and being outdoors, and less time here....on the computer!

What a wonderful Blog--sounds just like me--I have a natural inclination to be lazy--am not really sports-minded--I have to force myaself to do my walking. This losing weight isn't easy--but what in life is--keep at it--we are all on this journey together--Nancy
