UGH! YES! YEAH!

UGH! I did not get up at 4am when hubby left. I gave him a kiss good-bye and usually wait til I hear his Jeep pull out the drive. Then I know it's safe to get up and I wouldn't be in his way. Well, I never heard the Jeep pull away. I did, however, hear my 5am alarm. I was not a happy camper.

YES! I went to work and weighed in. I am 187.4! WOOHOO!!! Finally! The needle started moving! Work was work, but I did get a walk in afterwards with my son. We took a little over 30 minutes to walk and had a nice talk about how each other's day had went. That was my Friday. Not what I wanted, but am happy with the scale.

Saturday, did walk when I got up. Did 2.62 miles. Very happy about that. Went out with youngest daughter and picked up a few things. Her and her friend decided to go to Kings Island. DD asked her brother, he invited a friend, so the 4 of them was gone from 3pm til whenever they got home last night... well, early this morning. In the mean time, hubby worked and he got home right before the kids left, so went out for dinner and run a few errands. I finally got to buy a new scale for the house, YEAH! So tired of weighing in at work, after my workout and shower.

Up this morning and saw the scale, thought what the heck. Let's see what it says... 186.2! This is my true weight. No cloths on, no wet hair, no exercise yet. This means I have officially lost 50 pounds! I have gone from 236.4 to 186.2. Went for my walk and have done other yard work. Had my 2 hours of exercise in early today, also had over 12,000 steps by noon. I wasn't sure how this weekend would go, but today, I am all smiles. What a fantastic weekend!

I walked/jogged this morning. When I did start jogging, I jogged further than the time before, felt better, not nearly as tired. Felt stronger if that makes any sense. I didn't get my 2 hours of exercise in today... only 80 minutes, bummer. I did get over 14,000 steps.

I didn't know if this getting up at 4am was working. Today, I weighed in at 188.4 emoticon I am finally below 190. I was sick of seeing 190 something for the last 2+ months. Geez...

For those who wonder, I am still getting to bed by 9pm.... I always have. Some days sooner, some later, but try to getting to bed about 9pm. My husband is up at 3am to get ready for work. He leaves between 10 til and 4am. When he comes to give me a kiss good-bye, I wake up. I usually tried to go back to sleep, sometimes I was even successful. But, my alarm goes off at 5, so really, what did it hurt to try getting out of bed at 4 since I was awake anyway. I've done this for 10 days now, 1/3 on the month, and honestly, I figured I wouldn't have made it this far. But, now the pressure is on. I saw the result this morning. Now, I feel refreshed, this is working, it is worth it, I AM WORTH IT. AND I AM GOING TO DO THIS!!!

Yes, today is the 9th, but's early, so will do yesterday's emoticon
Between sparktracker issues and my computer issues, I haven't been able to record as well as I would have liked, BUT, I am still doing good. I have gotten up early every day, walked/jogged every morning, no candy, cookies, cakes, etc. Monday, one ofthe ladies I work with had brought over a couple of mini cupcakes and she asked me to grabbed one. I looked at her, at the cupcake, back at her...I was so debating... told her thank you, but no. I'm trying to go the entire month of July without eating junk food. My phone isn't with me the entire time I'm up, but even so, I still over 12,000 steps recorded each day.

Sunday I walked one lap up and down the street... only because it started raining and when I hit the driveway it started pouring. Come Monday, I walked/jogged my 2 laps around and I felt better when I ran, ran a bit further and bit longer. Tuesday I walked 2 laps. Started thinking about the couch to 5k program. It states to do the walk/jog every other day and the off days to do other cardio/weight training. So I tried that this week. I'll tell you about this morning in today's blogged later this evening emoticon

I feel you on that cupcake offered by the food pusher. When you work so hard to amp up exercise and get calories under control, a cupcake looks like the devil incarnate.

I am using the "Eat This, Don't Eat That" strategy. When I have to stare down Macadamia Nut Clusters, I think, "Am I really hungry, or do I need a glass of water, instead? Does my Nutrition Tracker need a stalk of celery, dried plums, or apple, or yogurt or mozzarella stick?"

At least the Spark Activity Tracker is back in business. I'm curious to see what bonus steps it has to report for July 3-7.

    You're doing so well. What time to do you turn in at night if you are getting up at 4:00 am? What has helped you be successful in getting up that early consistently?

Yep, I feel your pain. I can track manually but I got spoiled with the Spark People Activity Tracker. It also helps motivate me.

05 July day 5

Guess I forgot to do yesterdays, oops. Well, both days, I wasn't up at 4am... no reason to, wasn't working. BUT, when I did get up, I did go for a walk/jog first thing. Both days were over 12,000 steps and over 2 hours of exercise. Yesterday, did some gardening and cleaned out the shed. Today, was mowing the lawn... part of it with a push mower. Hubby took the boy and I out to get new running shoes. We were both happy. emoticon This is day 3 of no sugar, meaning, cakes, cookies, candy. At first, I thought it would be hard to do, but not so bad.

Day 3 of my personal 100 day challenge. I was up at 4am and went for walk/jog. Added more distance and jogged a bit more than yesterday. I also went for a walk late in the afternoon and met hubby on his way home from work. I have over 14,000 steps already, expect to get more tonight. Have over 2 hours of exercise for the day, woo-hoo!
1. Up at 4am and exercise, check
2. Have over 12,000 steps for the day, check
3. Have over 2 hours of exercise, check
