I do better on my weightloss journey when I am working. When I am idle, I tend to fill the time eating. So I've been back at work for a week and I'm back down in the zone I was in before the holiday. That's great to not have lost too much ground because I seriously didn't work my plan over the holidays! I have a bit of a food obsession/passion/fixation or whatever you want to call it. I am very interested in food! I love the food channel and cooking magazines, grocery shopping, eating out, whatever.
Work has been really stressful lately and my emotional state has been awful. Last fall, I had shingles, and I can't help connecting them to my stressful state. For the last week I've had a diaherea (spelling?) Still, I'm not dealing with this unhappiness with food and that's a change. I don't like intestinal unquiet, but when you weigh more than 200 pounds however the weight comes off is a silver lining.
I am back on my eating plan too: minimizing but not eliminating starches and eating a lot of veggies, nuts and protein. I am avoiding sugar in as many forms as possible like baked things and candy. This is the only eating plan I have ever been able to adhere to.
