Flat ride around Alameda and Bay Farm Island, but the wind made it like climbing hills, but you can't see "the hills" so it's relaly annoying!
Here is a picture of me at the windiest part on Bay Farm Island with San Francisco in the background.
It was so windy that the kite surfers were out in droves at Crown Memorial Beach in Alameda -- I counted 21 in the water and at least as many on shore getting ready or finishing up.
We rode 21 miles and then went to Forbidden Island Tiki Bar and had a drink (good thing we burned so many calories on our ride!). Drinking on an empty stomach makes me a very cheap date -- 3 hours and a dinner later and I still feel like I have a buzz. LOL!
Hope you all have an active and fun Memorial Day weekend! And don't forget those who have died in the armed services.
My garage is only 7' tall, so this gym barely fit -- 1/2" to spare:
Ya gotta love Craigslist -- I got this gym for $250 with an additional $70 delivery and set-up by the previous owner. It was like $1400 new and is in great shape. It's an MS-2000 by MultiSports. Given how much it is to join and go to a gym, and my track record of actually going to a gym, it's way cheaper to have my own equipment. I also have a used treadmill and an elliptical that I bought new ages ago (my advice now: never buy new unless you're rich). I prefer to walk outside when it's nice out, so the treadmill is more for rainy days or night time use -- or if I want to watch a TV show while I'm exercising.
I've read that free weights and a weight bench are better, but I'll start with this. I can always sell it on Craigslist!
