Changing my routine - weight loss in December?

The past few months I have played with five stubborn pounds that would just not come off. Up one week, down the next, up mid-week, down on weigh-in day, then back up. Recently I took a good objective look at my eating and exercise habits. What I discovered was that I needed a change.

Hence, I increased both my exercise and my caloric intake and what happened next was amazing to me. This week I have more energy than I've had in months and I am also down in the pound department.

Hopefully this eating and exercise regiment with help me to lose the much desired lbs by the New Year, I am so hopeful that I will see 179 by New Years Day. My hopes have been renewed by making some slight changes to my program.

So what have I learned from this? We all need to take the time now and then to stop, evaluate, and adjust or programs to achieve the desired results. Hopefully I will remember this next time I hit a wall and can't seem to move. Thank you Sparkpeople for giving me the tools necessary to recognize and adjust my lifestyle when necessary. I love Sparkpeople.

Learning from Sparkfriends

It has been a little over a month since my last blog. I knew when I returned to active status on Sparkpeople that my health and well being would improve. What I did not realize is how much I learn everyday from my spark friends.

I love the concept and result that I get from sparkpeople and it is the "people" fellow sparkers who I learn the most from. Things I've learned... well a few of them.

1. We all have bad days.
2. Unfortunate things happen to very good people.
3. Sometimes we all need a friend.
4. Others have experienced what we may currently be experiencing.
5. With a little effort we can help a friend in need.
6. The best way to forget about our own problems is to life another person up.
7. No matter how busy we may be, we all have time to speak (or write) a kind word to a friend.

Hope I continue to learn more about myself while progressing toward a healthier lifestyle.

  I know this is an older blog post but since I just read it today I wanted to comment. I tried to post something similar today but for some reason when I hit post it just didn't. I love reading others blogs for the same reasons you listed above. I know I learn a lot from other spark people too. Nice to know even though I'm the only one that can change me that I'm not alone on the journey. I noticed you're active on Team 300lbs Plus. Steadily moving foward

It has been about a month and a half since I finished school. At first I was just tired and catching my breath. Now it is time to get my healthy lifestyle in motion. Swimming, walking, eating healthier. Today is the first day of a healthier me!

Graduation

Last week I finally completed my Masters of Science in Accountancy. It was been a very long, very unhealthy road for me. I have been in school constantly for five and a half years which means little exercise and lots of stress.

This week I have decided it is time to take control of my life again. Albeit this time with a Masters Degree. Here's to a healthier happier me. emoticon
