STRONGER AND HAPPY

I am so happy. Sunday was to be my trial day to see if the PT is helping as my pastor wants me to sit down front behind him so I have to walk up the incline to get out and I lose my balance so much and stagger. Well, today I did not stagger and walked normal for me.
Did I say I am Happy :)

Had a good church service, A lady in my S S class is leaving though for a month and the elder who is in the S S class will be gone next Sunday. His wife is going to celebrate her 90th B D with all of her family in Houston. They are the ones I have lunch with on Sunday.
We had good fellowship.

But then a lady (not in my S S class but a good friend) had moved to Seattle but her husband wasn't happy there so they were back today and they came and sat with me.
I correspond with her on f/b. People come and people go and some friends and family have gone on to eternity. When you get my age you have more on the other side than you do here. My mom always said that. She outlived all of her siblings and classmates. She lived to be 99 1/2 years old.

Then I came home to Spark, pick up some and plan to watch a little TV and read later.

Did I say I am Happy?

WHAT A DAY

I am far behind and probably won't catch up today. Sorry.
The nurse came this morning, a friend came out to fix a thing or two around here,
The House cleaner came just now,
The PT is coming.

My home phone doesn't work, My Mozilla Firefox won't work, the IE is slow as molassases. Don't have time to call about the phone. Do have my cell phone though.

But I am not in the floor. Praise the Lord for that.

Now I need to go out and eat. I can leave my house cleaner here. She is here 3 hours and I trust her.

So if you don't hear from me you know what is going on.

A SHORT EXPLANATION

Yes, I know I am way behind. After getting five hours of sleep last night I went to church to teach my S.S. class then stay for a worship. A total of 4 1/2 hours.

Then a delightful lunch with friends until 3:00.

Home got on Spark and found out my Mozilla Firefox wasn't working and the Internet Explorer is slow as molasses. Watched Jesse Stone on T.V.

Came back and had the same situation so I can just say forgive me for not posting on most of my teams. Hope I will be up and running tomorrow.

I have the PT coming tomorrow afternoon.

MY MOTHER'S DAY :)

Being a mother was not my lot in life, yet I have many children.
God blessed me so much on Mexican mother's day the 10th of May and on the American mother's day, the 13th of May.

First as most of you know a lady who studied under me in Bible School In Monterrey 30 years ago and who I haven't seen since came to visit me.
She married a student who also studied in the same place and now they have 3 children, one of them married. What a blessing.


The pastor's wife in Reynosa called to wish me a happy mother's day.

Then a gentleman from our church called to wish me happy mother's day on the 10th on behalf of his grandson as I stood with them when they presented the baby and he says I am the child's grandmother. He had a lot of physical problems also and now is two years old. He is walking now.


Many young people come to me for counseling and prayer. It makes me happy.


Then my oldest step son and his wife sent me a nice card and a check. He is the one out of the three who remembers me. His wife is very thoughtful.


Now it is Sunday at our church. The mother's were honored in a very special way.
My friends who were married 67 years received a gift.
Others received special gifts for different things.

Then they said there is a lady here who has a lot of spiritual children. Mama Davis would you please stand up. What a surprise. Then they presented me with a gift. Beautiful. I was so surprised. I received an Applebee's gift card and other things.

Then all of the mom's had to come down to the front. We were all presented with a red rose, a little cardboard house which we put our name on and put the members of our family on it. They are all to be placed on a tree (the family tree) and we are to pray for them. I put my three step children on there so if you read this know you are being prayed for.

Also we received a nice writing pen and card.

What a wonderful mother's day.

WHAT'S BEEN GOING ON WITH ME

The Lord is so good.
As you know I fell out of bed once and a month later fell out of my chair while putting on my socks.

Then my cardiologist called to remind me I had an appointment the next day which we had made the year before.

It was God's timing. I went to see him (25 miles away) and he got things to rolling. He found out I had potassium levels very low and put me on a prescription for potassium. My internist had given me more diuretics but had NEVER given me a prescription. They were shocked as both diuretics required a potassium prescription. I would ask the doctor and he would just say it is all right.

Well the cardiologist sent me for blood work to find out why I was weak and off balance and they did 3 tests on me.

Then he called a home health service and they sent out a nurse twice this week and also sent out a lab to draw blood to check my potassium again.

Then the PT came out and he really put me through the ropes. I found weak spots for sure. He had me do bed exercises and I could feel the muscles pull. It is to strengthen my legs, my core, my buttocks and tummy.

He said he saved the more advanced ones until Monday.

Now the wonderful spiritual side of my week. One lady (my waitress) in a restaurant I frequent came up and sat at my table and said I have troubles. I listened mainly. Today she came back and said everything worked out fine and she was happy.

A lady came to my door. Her son who was in his 20's and lived across the street from me had a tumor in his head and died. She asked me do you remember my son?

I said of course I remember your son. I will never forget him and showed her a framed picture I have of him in my office where I put the people I pray for. I know his wife needs prayer.'

She cried and said "It is so difficult. It is mother's day (Mexican style) and my son is gone. I said come in and I listened and we talked. I told her to come back any time she needed to talk.

My PT yesterday was in marital problems. He is a young man with two very young boys. He told me his problems. I invited him to sit and when he finished talking and crying (I told him real men cry) I said I want to pray for you. He accepted and left happy. I am waiting until Monday to hear his report. I told him to be extra nice to his wife on mother's day and he said she is going to a town to visit with her folks. The last time she went she went alone as she needed her space. He said I hope I go this time.

What a week. God has a purpose for us on this earth and the world is our mission field. Your world may be your home, your neighbors, your town, etc.

Have a great mother's day all. I am invited to my spiritual families home for dinner after church.
