Packed out house

Tuesday, May 25, 2010

emoticon emoticonThanks again to all of you who prayed with us for Mexico and for the Texas border last night.
I drove up thinking not too many people would be there and just about didn't find a parking place.
Then in the sanctuary I had to sit very close to the back which I never do as the place was already packed out. Then the balcony filled up, then they had to put up extra chairs. I don't know how many people were there but do know it had to be close to 1,000 or more even.
Probably some people didn't even get in because of parking and seating. I was told people were there hours early.
It is time to bombard heaven. More were there from Mexico than from the US.
They were the ones who set up the service and they prayed one after the other with worship in between and the word of God to verify the promises of God.
No matter where we live we need to pray as never before for our country and for the world, for the saved and the unsaved.
God bless you.
Irene

    Hi Irene,
Thank you for sharing last nights prayer session. It had to be a great feeling of the turn out and the positive energy. When we are praying for anything and the fact that is for peace in Mexico, we need to continue, we need to support and pray for world. peace for all humans. We need to Love and accept and share our love with all that is around us and encourage all to support love and peace for all.
Thank you again, this is a start to something that has to continue.

PRAYER FOR MEXICO TOMORROW AT 6:30 P.M.

Sunday, May 23, 2010

Tomorrow several churches on both sides of the border are coming together and praying at our church for Mexico.
The prayer starts at 6:30 CST and I would love for all of my friends to join with me for prayer. Something must be done and only God can do it but He says we have not because we ask not. So let's ask. OK.
Thank you. emoticon emoticon emoticon

I guess I'm behind in info. Is there a special reason to pray for Mexico? Has something recently happened that I don't know about?
I don't read a newspaper. I get news from the internet from KCRA and I don't remember them sending any bulletins about Mexico.

HOW TO GAIN 10 POUNDS IN A FEW MINUTES

Wednesday, May 19, 2010

Go to the doctor and let the nurse weigh you. She weighed me today and said 172. I said "No way". She said yes it is 172. I said no it isn't.
I was looking at the scale and although I had just eaten and drank two glasses of water and had my shoes on I knew they didn't weigh that much.
So she looked again and said oh it is 162.
So if you want to gain weight just let the nurse weigh you
My blood pressure was real good and I wondered if that was right as it was lower than usual.

I hate weighing in at the doctors office as it is usually at the end of the day, on my way home from work and I have all my "heavy clothes" (a lot more than I wear on my normal Saturday morning after I get up weigh ins. So many times I see a 10# difference.

So I never take their number seriously, but at the same time it will show the same amount of weight loss (or gain, unfortunately at times) as I would show at home.

Of course, when I do my physical, it's first thing in the morning, in the summer, so that I can dress as light as possible. emoticon

Anyway, I loved your story.

Another way is if they have a digital scale and don't bother to zero it first! That is what happened to me one time. The scale did say a horrible number, but as I thought about it, I realized the nurse hadn't zeroed it before I stepped on. When I reweighed after it being zeroed, the scale was much more agreeable!

Thanks for a good laugh. When I went to the midwife while pregnant with my children she would always let me tell her what I had weighed at home that morning instead of making me get on the scale at the office. I appreciated that trust and courtesy. Now I weigh in three times a week at a weight loss center and I am always very concerned about how much I have eaten or drank just prior to being weighed and even what clothes I picked to wear that day. At least you LOST 10 pounds as quickly as you put in on, LOL!

Mafia and drug wars in Mexico

Monday, May 17, 2010

Well, every day it is getting worse. They say now there is a mafia in Texas which originates from Mexico.
Also the drug people want to run the government so are killing the candidates who don't go along with them. One disappeared and they don't know where he is. Good people are afraid to run for office.
People are still dying.
People are still afraid to leave their homes especially at night.
I don't know when I will be able to go back to Mexico but we can't let the devil take over.
We must pray and believe. Our church is having a special night of prayer for Mexico I believe the 23rd.
Please pray with us.

SO WHAT HAPPENED IN MEXICO?

Sunday, May 16, 2010

First of all as most of you know I cancelled my short trip to Reynosa to see the church and Parsonage as well as the pastors. I called Mexico to let them know I would not be going and called the missionary lady here to let her know I would not be going.
On Thursday a politician was shot 3 blocks from the bridge we would have crossed. Then west of Reynosa a ways two more politicians were shot.
I know there is much going on that does not hit the news even here and everyone is in the dark concerning the fear the people live in.
People don't want to go to church or anywhere else at night. They just want to get in their houses and close the doors. I don't blame them. The streets are definitely not safe at night.
I know I will go again but at God's timing. When He says go we must go, when He says wait we must wait.
Slow and easy; stress free.
That is the way weight loss works also. Keep it stress free. Don't expect to lose 50 pounds in two months. Set small goals, know you will reach it then set another small goal then you will arrive.
God bless and continue to Pray for the US and for Mexico.
Irene

I'm so happy you didn't go. I was worried about you making that trip. I'm really sorry for the people there. I think of the mothers and how horrified they must be for their children. It's such a shame drugs have such a hold here or there, but they make a lot of money so as long as there is a market for it, this bloodshed will continue. The work you do is wonderful and I'm sure the Lord will lead you back when it's safe for you to go.
