Just had to post this from Sunday evening birthday party.
This is so true.
A very unique card sent on the internet by a good friend.
Now about my day. The pastor's son finally came today. He was to come Monday, couldn't, he was to come Tuesday his old car broke down in Mexico, he was to come Wednesday, his car broke down about 12 miles from my home in Texas but today he made it. Praise the Lord. They are baptizing 6 people Friday. With the work we are doing outside of the church in the big lot we bought they are having revivals and special meetings. Regular meets are held inside of the two story church building we built at the beginning.
He asked for some counseling and we prayed. God moves in mysterious ways.
Then the nurse usually comes around noon. It was 12:30, I had not eaten so did not take my medicine for my ammonia levels so called and they said they would call her. She did not call so I went out to get something to bring home to eat. She finally called when the PT was about to finish up and wanted to know if I wanted her to come or reschedule. I was so worn out I asked her to reschedule so she will come Saturday ??????????
Now Irene is ready to take a then get up and eat. My back requires that I rest it in bed or it hurts me and screams out
Thank all of you for your offerings, your friendship, your prayers and your kindness.
I read a book recently on my Kindle titled "Seeing Jesus" . I loved it.
Today a family took me to lunch at the same place we had the Sunday night. They could not go Sunday so took me today.
They brought cards and gifts. All beautiful.
I asked if Victor was there as he is the one who had the aging grandparents. He was working the cash register and called to me when I went in but I did not hear him.
He came to the table and I asked him about his grandparents as you remember I prayed for them. He said he went and told them he had met the sweetest lady he had ever met and she prayed for them. They are both doing real good and the grandmother who had just about given up on life is doing really well.
God is so good and there is nothing impossible with Him. He uses our hands to reach out, our mouths to ask Him and also to praise Him and give Him thanks.
I just had to tell you this so you would know, "and this is the rest of the story".
Go ye into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature, healing the sick...............
friends and two 's.
You can see some pictures of Spark friends on Facebook.
This was a special birthday for me because a few weeks ago some thought I would not live to see another birthday but here am I ready to serve the Lord for as long as He has me here in any way He would have me to serve Him. I made it to 87. Hey guys I made a mistake. I let someone convince me I was 87 and I am really only a 86.
At the end of the meal everyone told me what I had meant to them the inspiration, etc. Many of them left me in
My 's brought me a beautiful inspirational card and a beautiful bouquet of roses.
Now for confession. . I broke my no dessert streak so this is
The pastor's wife brought the most beautiful little to share but I told her no as I was on a no dessert streak. Then the restaurant brought me a piece of cake, I think carrot with raisons and nuts and I thought if I eat a piece of one I will have to eat a piece of both so as not to offend so I DID IT. I ate a piece of both.
Then people left before I finished and since I broke my streak I sure wasn't going to leave any. But God has his purpose.
Our waiter, a nice young man said my grandfather is 80 and is doing really fine. He said his grandmother had slipped in the tub and broken her hip and was just giving up on life. I asked him if he believed in prayer. He said yes. I said do you mind if I pray for her. He said no and reached out his hand to join mine and I prayed for her. If I hadn't of eaten my dessert and lingered this would not have happened. He thanked me over and over. There are hurting people in the world everywhere.
Now my day started with notices of e-mails wishing me a , when I returned home many more came in. I don't know how many posted and some were very unique and very beautiful.
Spark friends and all of my other friends who did this for me, making my 87th the best one yet.
Thank you God for giving me another year of life and may I serve you the way you desire.
I know the first may be boring to you but please read especially the last part. It is amazing.
Yesterday was a real bad day. PT and Nurse both came instead of Thursday and I went out to get a salad after nurse left as I did not know when the PT was coming.
When I got home I hurt so bad. I had not taken my medicine for my ammonia levels so took one dose and decided I needed to rest my back instead of eating but the PT ran the door bell so waited. Took my
Then got up and ate, took another dose. I'm glad not all days are like that one.
Today I had made an appointment to eat with the elder and his wife from my church and was hoping I would feel better. I did so met them for lunch. As we were waiting I saw a man I had known along with his wife for years in church but hadn't seen in a long time. He told me his wife had passed away and he introduced us to his new wife who was very sweet.
He asked me what the matter was with me as he saw the walker and I told him all I had gone through and ended up with my ammonia levels being high. He said I know what you mean. My wife died of that. She had tumors on the liver. Something I didn't really need to hear. We all had a good visit though.
Now the amazing part. As we were leaving I saw a young girl in a wheel chair. She was with her father and older brother. Why should I complain? She is so young and so handicapped?
I went up and started talking to her and caressing her hair. I told her how beautiful she was. I asked her father if she spoke English or Spanish. He said she cannot talk. I said does she understand? I told her Jesus loved her and her eyes brightened and she smiled. We made a connection. I said it in Spanish and she shook her head no so I believe she knew what I said in English. I told her several times Jesus loved her and she continued to beam and her eyes brightened.
As I said goodbye I told her she was beautiful again and she looked at me like she really loved me.
Jesus helped her to understand and Jesus does love all of us.
report from the doctor Wednesday. While I left the house cleaner who comes twice a month cleaning my house Brian and I went to the doctor.
He said my echogram on liver and kidneys came out
I didn't think to ask him why my ammonia levels were high then.
He took away two medications saying I didn't need them.
They were for other things.
From there Brian, who had my van, as I can't get in and out of most vehicles, then drove me to his office where he had his truck. I got into my van and drove home.
He followed me to help me and fill my pill cases.
He said I passed the test and left the van with me.
Thursday I went to the bank and did my own banking then went to the pharmacy to pick up my prescriptions.
Thursday the nurse came and also the PT.
Today is a rest day.
They called today about my ammonia levels and other things he checked and said it was good but the ammonia levels were still high even though they had gone down a few points. I guess he thought I would need a whole box full of the yucky stuff. The girl at Walgreen's said "It is a big box and I will carry it to the entrance. Wait for me there. My nurse carried it into the house
My swelling has gone down a lot and I have lost weight. According to the doctor's office I weighed 144 which is 8 pounds down from my goal weight. I'm not eating right either as I don't feel like standing on my feet and cooking too long at a time.
