Weight Loss

Well as of today I have lost 7.2 pounds and I am doing the Atkins Diet. I'm sure that the first few weeks of my weight loss will be water retention. I have been drinking a lot more water then I have been and I think that has a lot to do with the weight loss. But I'm just happy to know that I have loss some weight. I would like to loss 20 pounds as my first goal. I am not going to set a goal that I feel is out of reach. I am going to weigh once a month on the same day that I started Atkins, which was 1/21/2013. So I will keep you posted on how my weight loss is going. I'm going to continue drinking the water and eating like I am for another couple of months and then I will go on to Phase 2. I am trying to find a low carb salad dressing that I can eat that doesn't contain Mayonnaise because I can't eat mayonnaise or eggs. I can't eat Italian dressing because it is too spicy. I found a Strawberry Vinaigrette that I want to make a try and see if I like it. If I like I may put it in a blog or in a comment on my sparkpage for anyone how may want to try it.     Just a quick update on my blog, since I wrote this blog I have lost an additional 2 pounds so now it is a total of 9.2 pounds within a week. I'm proud Of myself now if I can keep it up and lose enough that other people can notice it to and that I can shop in a regular store for the first time in over 20 years or more. emoticon

Lab Results

Went back today to see my doctor to get the results from the lab work I did, and I found out that I had high cholesterol and she prescribed me some medicine to get it regulated. I have to watch what I eat even more closely now then I have been doing. She wants me to continue on my 1800 calorie she gave plus walking as much as I can to help me lose weight and lower my cholesterol. So this means no more fried foods, either baked, broiled, or grilled, which is what I normally do anyway. I hope by doing everything that the doctor tells me to do will help me do what she wants me to do. Well It's been a long and tiring day, so I'm going to call it a night.     I tried taking red yeast rice and it didn't work for me and now the doctor is giving me medicine to lower my cholesterol. I have three months to try and lower it before my next doctor's appointment. I also hope that by walking and watching what I eat, I will lose some weight too. Well thanks for your comments.     I too have high cholesterol, I read that Rice Bran Oil is good for that and so is Sesame Oil. I bought the Rice Bran Oil and have been using that to coat my pan to cook my egg whites. I used to use butter, but no more! Also Red Rice Yeast is supposed to be good for high cholesterol. Mine was up to 290 and now it is 196 and still working on it with out meds. emoticon emoticon Good luck!

Doctor's appointment

Well I went to the doctor on OCT. 31st to find out what was causing me to have headaches all the time and when I weighed I realized I had gained some weight and I wasn't very happy. So the doctor told me that with all of the stress in my life that, that would be what is causing me to have headaches so she gave me some medicine to take for the pain. She also told me to start an 1800 calorie diet and watch my6 sodium intake. So I am starting my 1800 calorie diet and I have also started walking around my neighborhood to get some exercise. Hopefully by doing both of this things I can lose weigh and start to feel good about myself again. Because right now I don't feel very good about the way I look, but I get dressed up and go, in hopes that other people in a different way than I do. Well off to eat my breakfast. New workout Program

Hey everyone! Well tonight I decided to try and fix me a workout program of exercises I found on SparkPeople to do at home. I found six that I feel I will be able to do that won't hurt my back or knees to do. I have been using Sensa for over a month and I figured that by doing some exercises to help me to lose weight is better than doing no exercises at all. I am hoping that I have lost some weight but I'm not sure because I didn't weigh before I started using Sensa. I have a doctor's appointment on 9/28/2012, and I will know then whether or not I have lost any weight or not. I am tired of being heavy and I know that only I can do something about it. No one else can do it for me. I am also trying to drink more water and water with Crystal light in it. I'm hoping that drinking more water will also help me get rid of any water retention I might have. I am hoping that I might be able to lose 20 pounds or more by Christmas, I don't think that is too much of a stretch. My Mom is not doing all that good and I don't want to get as bad sick as she has been all this years. Everybody in my family had or has diabetes, so far I have not gotten Diabetes yet, and that is why I want to lose the weight so that maybe I won't get Diabetes. Well thanks all I have for now.     Have you lost any weight with SENSA and do you think it is helping?? Interested in your opinion....there is so much out on the net both positive and negative, I would prefer hearing from a REAL user....Cheers...and so glad you are doing well..

Well I'm getting very close to graduating and getting my AA degree in Business Administration/Accounting. I will be graduating on 3/17/2012 and I will have one week off and then I will immediately go after my Bachelor's degree in Business Administration/Accounting. I'm hoping that I will be able to get a stay at home job that deals with either bookkeeping or accounting, this way I will be able to be home in case something may happen to my mom. It will be mid 2015 before I get all of my schooling done completely and then I will have two degrees under my belt. So far I am doing great with my grades, I have only one D in Algebra and the rest are High A's. B's and C's. I can't wait until Christmas break, I will have almost a month off and I can rest and relax a little. So keep me in your prayers and thoughts that I continue ti do good and graduate with a good GPA.     Thanks for all of the encouragement guys. I really appreciate it. It has been a long a year and half. It isn't going to be over for mine schooling to be completely done until I get my Bachelors degree in 2015. So keep the encouragement coming.... emoticon
