Rich foods make me queasy now.

Monday, June 21, 2010

I had a wonderful dinner at Marchetti's. I had Calimari Siciliano. Mmmm. Very good, but unfortunately, I am paying.

I am sipping ginger tea trying to settle my tummy. It works, but I feel bad. I only ate one cup of pasta...and about a cup of calimari. Sigh.

I learned to make the Mexican Restaurants help me lose weight!

Saturday, June 12, 2010

Simple:

1. I call ahead with my order, that I have written down exactly as I want it. --Keeps me from making changes at the counter last minute!!!

2. I order togo...no chips...no salsa!!! --Avoid the deep fried chips at all costs!!!

3. I order a burrito with the stewed/shredded meat. And make sure to ask if they refry it...don't let them do it! --Cut out more oil calories.

4. I order the burrito...Shredded chicken, tomato, onions, cilantro...that's it. --You get the meat/cheese only discount. Burritos ordered like this will usually only cost you $6.00.

5. I go home and immediately dump the contents into a tupperware. The burrito shell...I give to the dogs. I might tear off a tiny piece and savor the nummy carbs. --Tiny piece!!!

6. I weigh the chicken, usually around 8 oz. Now I break it up into 1 oz portions. --Only 1 oz of chicken in a taco. --Or 2 oz of chicken in a meal for laters.

Just a note: This last time I went...they guy put 14 oz of chicken in my burrito!!!! OMG!!! He said it was because I passed on all the other stuff...beans, rice, cabbage, sour cream, cheese, avocado, salsa....

I got chicken for a couple days now!!! Cost me $5.95...and a $1 tip.

I used to just order chicken from my favorite Mexican restaurant. It took them some time to understand what I was asking, but finally they got with the program! Such deliciousness - I can never make chicken do that!

They went out of business and I still miss their food!

That's so cool they do that!!! I make mine at home. Really 1 or MAYBE 2 oz. of chicken is plenty in a small wheat tortilla wrap. Otherwise it's to stuffed and you can roll it up right. If I think it's not going to enough I always remind myself of that & if that doesn't work then I put extra lettuce in there, So few calories and it makes it last longer and satisfies that urge or need to chew something. If you look at my dinner from Sat. night you'll see that's basically what I had minus the wrap so I had 4oz. of chicken & fatfree yogutr instead of sour cream in the salad!!!!

I love taking pictures now.

Friday, June 11, 2010

If I knew now, how happy I would be with my new lifestyle...I would have started sooner. I know I was being a self pity monster...blaming others, well...not even a bit of a victim survived the big purge. I purged tons of things from my life that were bad for me...

And now I take pictures. No purpose other than to enjoy my day. Document my life. See my progress.

Here is what I did yesterday...
