Would you believe I gained 3 pounds since last Monday? An extra bite here, an extra bite there, and the bowl of Blue Bell Ice Cream yesterday afternoon sure did not help. Anyway, time to get "back on the wagon" and I have done that so far today.
The ice cream yesterday was very good tasting but after awhile I did not even feel that good (no energy, etc.) My blood sugar probably went up and then bottomed out.
Why do we do this to ourselves? I had just finished the 28 day Boot Camp Challenge and felt good about myself and felt good physically.
I have learned my lesson. The taste of the food was not worth the 3 pounds, the guilt, or the bad feeling afterwards.
Now I have to go and plan my final meal of the day which will probably be cereal and fruit.

A guy took his blonde girlfriend to her first football game. They had great seats right behind their team's bench. After the game, he asked her how she liked the experience.
'Oh, I really liked it,' she replied, 'especially the tight pants and all the big muscles, but I just couldn't understand why they were killing each other over 25 cents.'
Dumbfounded, her date asked, 'What do you mean?'
“Well, they flipped a coin, one team got it and then for the rest of the game, everyone kept screaming: 'Get the quarterback! Get the quarterback!' I'm like... Helloooooo! It's only 25 cents!!!”=

Written by a third grader, on what his grandparents do.
After Christmas, a teacher asked her young pupils how they
spent their holiday away from school. One child wrote the following:
We always used to spend the holidays with Grandma and
Grandpa. They used to live in a big brick house, but
Grandpa got retarded and they moved to Arizona . Now they
live in a tin box and have rocks painted green to look like
grass. They ride around on their bicycles, and wear name
tags, because they don't know who they are anymore. They
go to a building called a wreck center, but they must have
got it fixed because it is all okay now, they do exercises
there, but they don't do them very well. There is a
swimming pool too, but they all jump up and down in it with
hats on. At their gate, there is a doll house with a
little old man sitting in it. He watches all day so nobody
can escape. Sometimes they sneak out, and go cruising in
their golf carts. Nobody there cooks, they just eat out.
And, they eat the same thing every night - early birds. Some of the
people can't get out past the man in the doll house. The ones who do get out,
bring food back to the wrecked center for pot luck.
My Grandma says that Grandpa worked all his life to earn his retardment and,
says I should work hard so I can be retarded someday too.
When I earn my retardment , I want to be the man in the doll house.
Then I will let people out, so they can visit their grandchildren.

Last Friday I went to my doctor to review the blood work done a few days earlier. Weight is down, blood pressure is down, cholesterol is down, and glucose is within normal range (barely). Thanks to the SP program, support from Spark Friends and my determination it was made possible. Now on to more of the same.
