Doctor's Visit Didn't Turn Out Like I Expected

Wednesday, October 31, 2012

Yesterday the doctor looked at my pathology report & small knot by my left eye and said he would not do my surgery. He said the report showed the BCC was "out of the margins" & referred me to an ocuilofacial plastic surgeon. I have already cleared it with my insurance company & gotten a referral from my primary. I have an appointment 11/12 for a consultation (or sooner if they have a cancellation) and then we schedule surgery. I was hoping to get it over with yesterday. Oh well, it is supposed to be slow-growing.

Thank you for your concern.

HAPPY HALLOWEEN emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

WORRIED ABOUT DOCTOR APPOINTMENT TOMORROW

Wednesday, October 24, 2012

First, let me say that I am proud to be a 4-year Breast Cancer survivor.

Last year I had my surgeon remove a small growth on the side of my nose that turned out to be basil cell carcinoma (skin cancer). He was able to get it all & the margins were clear.

Now I am going back to him tomorrow for a similar growth right next to my tearduct on my left eye. My concern is whether he will be able to get it all since it is so close to my eye.

Would really appreciate a few prayers & good thoughts from my loyal Spark Buddies.

Will blog tomorrow or the day after about how things went.

Stay calm. Breathe. And fill your body with peace and positive energy. Care for your body from the inside out, and trust in the skill and compassion of your doctor.

I have had numerous bcc's removed, both by surgery and chemo cream (being a freckly red head!) and have always had excellent results!

We are all sending you positive vibes, and look forward to hearing your relief and thrill in your next blog!

Love and hugs to you!

MEN

Tuesday, October 23, 2012

An old man and woman were married for many years. Whenever there was a confrontation, yelling could be heard deep into the night. The old man would shout, "When I die, I will dig my way up and out of the grave and come back and haunt you for the rest of your life!"

Neighbors feared him. The old man liked the fact that he was feared.

To everyone's relief, he died of a heart attack when he was 98. His wife had a closed casket at the funeral. After the burial, her neighbors, concerned for her safety, asked "Aren't you afraid that he may indeed be able to dig his way out of the grave and haunt you for the rest of your life?"

The wife said, "Let him dig. I had him buried upside down. And I know he won't ask for directions."

LIFE BEFORE THE COMPUTER

Saturday, October 20, 2012

Memory was something that you lost with age.

An application was for employment.

A program was a TV show.

A cursor used profanity.

A keyboard was a piano.

A web was the spider's home.

A virus was the flu.

A CD was a bank account.

A hard drive was a long trip on the road.

A mouse pad was where a mouse lived.

And if you had a 3 1/2" floppy...you just hoped nobody found out.
