I am in Week 3 of my 5K Walking Program & need to walk 2.25 miles today. Since I have had bad pain for the last 2 days (& lost sleep nights), I will try & do the walk on my treadmill, but will be in a slower pace. I have osteoarthritis in both hips & lower back. Usually when I get up in the morning & move around it gets better, but the last 2 days have been real "stinkers" for pain.
During my walks the last 3 weeks I have walked 2.5 MPH & then kicked it up to 3 MPH for a few minutes & then back to try & get me out of this plateau that I seem to be in. If the pain is still intense Monday, I will try & get an appointment with my primary & get shots in each hip. I did this a year ago & they really helped.
