This past week I have weighed and measured all my food and this morning the scale tells me that I have lost 1.5 lbs. (really 2.5 because I lost the extra lb. that I had gained but never put on my weight ticker)! WooHoo!! I now have lost 26 lb. since starting SP last Sept. I still have a long ways to go to my goal weight, but since the plateau is broken I have renewed enthusiasm.
Go forth, Spark friends, and try measuring and weighing your food if you are having trouble losing.
Remember our men and women in uniform today.......the ones still serving and the ones who gave their all with their lives!!!!

I managed to finish both of my challenges (one yesterday and one today) and am still able to walk, talk, and smile! However, at my age (68) I would not attempt to do 2 at the same time again. I did the best I could on each challenge, but could have concentrated and done more on only one.
I did learn a lot of new exercises and plan to keep some of them up (some of them I was absolutely not good at ).
Weigh-in is tomorrow, but think I lost the lb. that I gained and possibly another 1/2 lb. I did lose a total of 2-1/4" in hips and waist!!
Unless I change my mind, I will concentrate next month on my walking (with Leslie and on the treadmill) and do some exercises in addition to gardening and some yard work.
P. S. I finally did get a plumber to show up yesterday afternoon and he replaced the water line going to my toilet.

Happiness cannot be traveled to, owned, earned, worn, or consumed. Happiness is the spiritual experience of living every minute with love, grace, and gratitude.
I awoke this morning to a flooded bathroom floor (leak where line goes into toilet). Tried to tighten with pliers, but it was spraying in another direction now! Finally got water turned off behind toilet and placed call to plumber's voice mail. Hope he can come today.
DH used to do things like this, but is no longer able and I do not have the strength in my hands or knowledge to do it right.

As you know I have been in a plateau for several weeks now. (not any more: I gained a pound). I have increased my walking, increased exercises for all parts of the body, eaten on the "low" side of my caloric intake, eaten on the "high side" (but only went barely over 2 days in the past several weeks), changed my exercise routines, etc.
When I first started SP last year I measured and weighted everything for a while. Since that time I "eyed" most of my food that I put on my plate. Now I have decided that my
"eyes have been lying to me"!
Starting tomorrow morning, I will get out the measuring cups, measuring spoons and scale. This HAS to work.......and I believe that it will.
