Week 3: Still kicking, but not as high today!

Wow, I won 50 Spark Points this morning!! I usually get 2-3.

Hope I am able to exercise (at least walk with Leslie) today as I got up with a bout of sciatica and it is very painful.

Exercise is going well. Some are much harder than others, but I am getting there. Faithfully tracking food, water and fitness.

Homecoming went well yesterday at church (although I cooked a lot, I maintained my weight by small "tastes" of several foods).

Today I get to have 1st watermelon of the season. Love watermelon!

    Woohoo for the 50! I get bouts of the sciatica too sometimes! Often, I think it's the way I sleep! But these ST moves sometimes turns my body is awkward positions....& that could do it too! You're doing a GREAT JOB of tracking, water, & fitness! Keep up the great work!

Oh, & I'm workin' at mastering that darn ol' stability ball! Today I almost rolled myself right into the wall! LOL

And I love emoticon too! Yummy!

Day 8: I am still here!!

Today starts week 2 of both of my challenges (Walking With Leslie and Spring Into Shape Bootcamp). I am still kicking. LOL. If I had it to do over again, I would probably (at my age of 68) only do one at a time, but I will not quit until it is over.

More on a blog tomorrow.

    We're almost the same age! I'm four months from 68. Ain't we somethin' to be challenging ourselves this way. I like Leslie Sansone too; she's my "last resort" cardio. My favorite is walking; love to be outdoors, but right now my knee is a challenge on long walks, so I use the elliptical, Ms. Sansone, or go to Curves. We're having Zumba sessions now and it makes the time go fast! I'm pretty awkward, but so are all but a few in the room so it's fun for everyone.

I like these short strength workouts.... they don't seem to make me sore, and my body is definitely more "limber."

Day 4: My stability ball and I are NOT going to be friends!!

Yesterday I did manage to get out of bed (though with sore thigh muscles which are still sore today), and went to town to get groceries, medicine, etc. I did some exercising before I left and the remainder when I got home.

Today I have done my crunches, wall push-ups, Bootcamp Video for Day 4, upper body workout and walked 2 miles with Leslie!! Whew.......

Yesterday and today part of my exercises for the Bootcamp involved using my stability ball. That thing does not like me and tries its best to get me on the floor (mostly nose 1st)! I guess I have never used one before and even watching the demos closely I cannot seem to conquer it. Hopefully, tomorrows exercises do not involve this "monster".

Hope every one is having good success with the challenges offered to us from SP.

Today was Day 2 for the May Strengthening and I did lower body crunches, etc. for that one. (my back and abs can vouch for that). Today was also Day 2 of the Bootcamp Challenge and I did a cardio for that (jumping rope if you can believe) and another video with emphasis on the abdomen (my back and abs can vouch for this, too).

I had trouble with balance on the jumping rope (on 1 leg) was impossible, but I adjusted as Nicole said we could.

I probably should alternate days on some of these things....live and learn....but Bootcamp is done every day. Oh well, I am trying.
