Day 200

State Capitol

Had a busy day yesterday but fun and ended up taking a semi-rest day, since I did a lot of walking around and strength in the morning already. Today was similar and hard to fit anything in, as I miscalculated my time so DD missed her little program at the school, but it was pouring and the power went out apparently so just as well we missed it as all the kids went home, and I would have been out walking in the rain while they tried to get hold of me! So hopefully next week will be back on my walking routine while she is at her preschool and her class the next day for an hour. I need that and so does she! On the plus side I did 30 mins lap swimming while she was at the swim class and that was a work-out, and very enjoyable then I did 30 mins on the rebounder when I got home, I did over 10,0oo steps though and both were good work-outs just did not get a walk in as planned. Tomorrow I am staying home and catching up so hope its nice for my walk tomorrow, just not much fun for me or DD in the rain though amazingly the weather has been so nice to me since I started my exercise program in June, and have been very lucky with my walks, not to mention I have walked in rain, snow, sleet, hail, frost, fog, mist, sun and any combination of the above!

    Hey Anna! Congratulations on making day 200!!

Isn't this weather the pits? I was sitting in my truck in our driveway yesterday watching the wind blow, and thinking about all the branches that could come down and smack my truck, and sure enough as the thought was in and out of my head a branch flew out of a tree and landed right on the hood! Lucky for me it was a skinny one, and didn't break or scratch anything. Well, I'll be out and about in the rain again today. Stay dry!!

    I for one definitely get out in the cold ... the wind chill this morning was 5 degrees and I had to convince the dog to go out with me but we did it! Not for very long in that cold but I love to start my day with a walk and have missed it the past few days. It'll get warmer here this weekend. But the worst weather to walk in, imho, is cold and rainy. Hopefully you'll get lovely weather today for a walk.

    Between the holidays and the COLD I'm surprised ANYone is getting out there to exercise! I've got a hot-tub in my backyard on my deck and I can't get up the nerve to trot 10 feet from the back door in this 27* weather to get in it! Not only that, then there's the thought of when I'm done, I've got to get OUT and trot back IN! It's 102* in there right now ...

Waterfall on Hike

Had a nice hike yesterday and 30 mins on the rebounder with weights, am trying to build things up a little more. I forgot to weigh this morning but thats ok. I am pretty well on track except I finished a wine-cooler yesterday. I think once I reach 135 again I will increase my calories to 1400 a day, and do it gradually this time. I am still zig-zagging but after a lot of high calorie days over the holidays have had to cut down again! But I need to get back into regular calorie cycling again. Anyhow the New Year has begun and now I feel I have a lot of things to take care of like taxes, business and planning my trip to TX and UK in Feburary-March. Yikes lots to do! Have to do my taxes before we go, ugh I hate doing taxes!!!! Anyhow off to the Children's Museum today for a playdate with DD, so its not all work and no play!! Already did strength and will get some steps there and visiting the State Capitol, and do my rebounder when I get home!

New Years Day

Well another year and ready to go! I like the feeling of the New Year and fresh starts, and am glad I am much fitter and thinner than last year and got back on track with my eating and exercising. I was back down to 137.0 today (initially 136.6 then it went up, flakey scale) and have upped the exercise again. I really do not think I have been eating more than I should, and less than sparkpeople recommends for maintenance but I think also some of it is fluids and not eating quite as much fiber as normal so plan a good fiber week this week!

NEW YEARS RESOLUTIONS:

1. GET OUR LOG CABIN HOME BUILT!
2. HEAL SOME HEALTH ISSUES I AM CONCERNED ABOUT
3.WORK ON MY RELATIONSHIP WITH DH
4. WORK ON BEING THE BEST MOTHER I CAN BE FOR DD
5. MAINTAIN MY WEIGHT AND FITNESS LEVELS

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE AND THANKS TO ALL MY WONDERFUL SPARK FRIENDS FOR YOUR SUPPORT AND FRIENDSHIP. IT HAS MADE ALL THE DIFFERENCE TO BEING A SPARKPEOPLE SUCCESS STORY!

    My sodium is usually low, and drink 14 glasses of water a day, I have always had a low metabolism though, sucks!!!! I feel good though! Of course I did omit the wine-cooler and succumbed to some whipped cream but nothing over what I can legitimately eat for maintenance by any means. Oh well!

    Wow, you ARE eating low on the calories end, aren't you?!?! LOOK at MY food tracker - I've been HORRIBLE this past week! A few days WELL over 2,000, and I'm MAINTAINING MY WEIGHT! Scary, huh? What is your sodium like? I can't see that on the tracker. And how much AGUA are you getting in??? I can't see HOW you are still SO LOW on the calories to maintain! VERY Weird.

New Years Eve

I was hoping for a relaxing day but seemed hard to get anything done, too many emails, phonecalls and mess!!! Had a nice healthy dinner, cod with zucchini, mushrooms and onions and tomato with a little marinara sauce and some potato with it, and a Sparkpeople Apple Crisp recipe for dessert, which is delicious. I had a wine-cooler but its been so long since I drunk anything it made me feel really weird and grumpy, probably as a result of a somewhat stressful day so no more for me for a while. We could barely keep awake to see the New Year in and listened to it on the radio, are we getting old or what?!! Still not losing the 2 lbs, wow! My metabolism seems to be going in reverse!

    C is SO CUTE!!!!!! I 'thought' about making a drinky-poo last night but decided I couldn't 'afford' the calories! LOL Neither could DH, and he was WELL OVER his carbs yesterday! OOoopsie.

It was a beautiful sunny day, and not too cold today and went for a nice walk with DH, DD and both dogs, it was icy on the road though but definitely better than the rain! No change on the weight today and am not eating that much, so its kind of annoying! I was hoping for maintenance mode where I could eat a few more calories!

    It's so funny to me because I eat like I am in maintenance mode already, and am still managing to lose, albeit slowly. I bet I average between 1700-2000 calories per day. If I had more self control I could lose a lot faster but I'm doing my best! Have you tried eating the recommended maintenance mode calories for a week or so, just to see how your body reacts? Something to think about in the new year, and by the way, have a great one!

    The maintenance thing is kind of annoying! Don't get me wrong, I am very happy to be where I am, but it is irritating when you have a couple of bad days and the pounds come back on like nothing! Ugh! I guess it is a good wake up call for me that I really still have to watch things! Your dog is cute!
