Well I am coming up on the three week mark, and feel good. I was down to 177.4 today. No reason why its moving again, except maybe its because I am having my smoothie in the morning and nothing else until lunch, and thats what I used to do when I did Fit for Life. I think its helping and its more filling (and healthy) than one piece of toast I was having with tea. Now my next goal is to get down to the 160's where I sat at a long time post-pregnancy. I was stuck at about 164 plus or minus so hope I can break through that now. I need to increase the rebounding its kind of hot right now though and need to get a DVD or work-out plan for it.

I went for a hike with my husband, 3 yr old (very whiny!) and my step-sons 14 and 17 (whiny also!) and we went up the hill at the back of our property with our dogs. Well with all the noise and clearing the trail they disturbed a bunch of wasps and hornets and I got stung 3 times. I feel a little off but not too bad. Lucky it was not my husband who is very allergic.

Well finally am losing and have been more relaxed about everything, even having a bagel as a treat for lunch, I don't know why I gained and plateaued like that but am glad I am back on a losing streak. I know I might plateau again, but at least I am down in the 170's now! I was 179.0 today.

My next mini-goal is to get below 170 again. No time-scale as I can only lose what I can lose when I can lose it. Apparently. I am just relieved to be out of the 180's! I am *still* in the obese range though but really do not look or feel obese, as I have a big frame and muscular build. But I know the extra weight is not good, and apple shaped people are more prone to heart disease and other issues and thats where my fat is, in the mid-zone. Anyhow so far so good, and will keep on trucking!

I finally came to a decision on my goal weight, and its 140 lbs, if I want to lose more then I will. That would be an excellent weight for me as I was pretty skinny and muscular then for a long time. I also think my start weight was 186.6 so changed that to be more accurate (and honest now I have lost about 8 lbs lol) as I did not realize how the tracker dealt with the increments, my scale measure them in 0.2 lb increments and I really like that. Anyhow hopefully the new scale will arrive soon. So based on my current weight and goal I need to lose 39 more lbs. Hopefully doable!

    Hey You! YOu are doing such a great job! I think you are going to reach whatever goal you set out for. I am considered obese myself, and I dont feel like it either. I am over six feet tall and society says I should be at 165. I was bulimic when I was 28 years old and went down to 177 and was a skeleton! So, if you think I am going to follow what someone else says I should weigh forget it! I feel great and actually love the way I look these days. Its all about how you feel about yourself! I have lost 25 pounds since being on this site, some has come back and some hasnt, but I am so much stronger and healthier now than I was a year ago, so just keep going on your journey because I am right there with you!

Well I went down to 180.2 when I weighed myself a little later this morning to double check - the new scales still did not arrive! So more BBQ's and less salad! I am sure some of it is water balance. My measurements have not changed too much since the initial rapid drop, but am getting more toned. I need to add some weights (for strength and rebounder) and music to the Elliptical and Rebounder it would make it much more enjoyable, and I probably do need to up the exercise a little as I get fitter. I met a friend for lunch today but we went for a walk on the beach (at toddler pace) and I had some nuts as a snack and later a bagel. But I had a smoothie for breakfast and salad for lunch so easily got my fruits and veggies in. I usually score Very Healthy nowadays on the Healthy Lifestyle Scale. I feel much healthier overall and more stable energy, not so hungry since I have kicked the sugar and caffeine addiction, I am not craving it either. Though wait until PMS kicks in! Anyhow I need a vigorous exercise day tomorrow to get some more fat burning!

Well July 4th went well, I had one small buttermilk pancake for breakfast with minimal syrup and earth balance organic spread. Then we went for a lovely hike to a beautiful waterfall, where the boys swam and we had a granola bar and an apple, I shared my granola bar with my 3 yr old which worked great for both of us! We hiked back and it was nearly time for dinner so we started the BBQ. I had 2 chicken tenders with mango curry marinade, vegetarian beans, potato salad, green salad and a corn on the cob, and a not tiny piece of my step-son's belated birthday cake. I was FULL! Then we walked down to the fireworks and back. Anyhow the good news is I weigh exactly the same as yesterday (180.6) which is the lowest I was last week and have lost the 2 lbs I gained inexplicably. I really want to get below the 18o mark this week though, thats my mini-goal.

Well I am almost back down to where I was 181.2 today. I have to say its really bizarre considering how I am eating and exercising, I just hope I am converting all the adipose tissue to muscle! I hope I am not in starvation mode but I am eating about 1200 calories a day, if I eat more apparently I gain and thats an on-going pattern. Well at least I am getting fitter and toned. I got a great rebounder of Freecycle (I got 2 but the first one was not too good so another lady kindly had another and its perfect!) I did 10 minutes today and need to remember my old routine. When my step-sons go home in a few weeks I am going to use our bunk-house as an exercise room with the trampoline and elliptical and set up the DVD players so I can have some music or a DVD while I exercise. My daughter got a Jump-o-lene from someone at her playschool and she can jump too now! She loves it. Anyhow tomorrow is the 4th but do not plan to eat too much. Except we have birthday cake for my step-sons belated birthday celebration! Maybe a small piece and a hike. Its been hot but still doing the walks and the dog loves it too!

I weighed a little later and was 180.6 not sure if its the scales or me but that was better!
