Mon



Monday comes round fast these days! Absolutely pouring down rain here in the way people think WA always does, but secretly does not! Of course we do live on the edge of a rain forest. I may have to cut ALL dairy and wheat (gluten) out for a while. Since cut out almost all dairy and down on wheat liver/gb is much better, even after only a week. Amazing how much diet can affect our health. Unfortunately I love dairy and the substitutes just do not cut it, except almond milk in my smoothie. But will do it and see how I feel. Down to 154.4 today which is good!

    You can do it! Good for you for making the changes already and noticing the positive differences. I've personally noticed a big difference from when I eat dairy to when I don't. And I LOVE greek yogurt, so it's a difficult elimination. But, boy, what a difference going no-dairy makes! Mmm mmm, almond milk.

Pedometer not doing so well, but possibly because of its encounter with the toilet yesterday! Weight the same at 154.8 but that is ok since I did lose 2.5 lbs this week. Feeling better overall and got my energy back, thank goodness.

Good hike yesterday and made bean and corn enchiladas with wheat tortillas, I did add some low fat mozzarella cheese as I was eating this before and doing fine. Delicious but maybe more calories than intended so skipped my snack Larabar just in case. My protein, carbs, calories, and fat are all in range the past couple of days. Scales did move down to 154.8 today. Now I am sure most of this is Aunt Flo and water retention, and the last day is Tuesday but still happy about it and am at a good baseline to try and lose more. I would really like to get back under 150. I am expecting to plateau after this though. But going to keep going, for health reasons anyhow. Cleaning the house this morning, oh joy! DH at work but said he was not upset at me the other day, just work and the tv company who we have had problems with, of course I have been the one actually dealing with the problems, and it does seem to be working, so not sure why he was quite THAT grumpy! I think mostly it is his job, at least he still has one but his company is not nearly as busy as it was before.

    Sounds like U are right on track. I hate when they are frustrated over technology problems, but WE are left to handle it. Sorry the job is stressing him. Hopefully that will turn around soon.

    I weighed in at 153.2 this morning - but since we went out to b-fast and will be going out for dinner, I'm sure that number will be right back up tomorrow!
I'd LOVE to be back under that 150 also!

Scales down a little to 155.2 probably just lost water this week but will take it and am back to where I have been (plateaued) for a while, so will see if I break through this time or not. Had a nice day yesterday then DH 'surprised' me by coming home in the week but was in such a bad mood and then wonders why I get anxious before he comes home. Men! He has been doing a lot better lately, but can we say moody. He always has an excuse, but frankly I am tired of it and told him he needs to buck up and be happy and grateful for everything we have. I think because of his childhood it is never enough. I am a happy person, even tho I like to vent here, but fundamentally I am very happy with my life and self.

    I had to do this with my hubby a few yrs back. For some reason, most men go thru this. I don't know what happened, maybe it's working in our school district with all the dysfunctional families, but he realized we have it pretty good & he's been great the last few yrs. Hopefully something will spark with yours 1 day.

Much better today thank goodness and Aunt Flo for once had good timing and timed her two days of hell for when I was home and did not have to go anywhere. Went for a nice hike, then had some very delicious home-made organic soup crammed fill of veggies at local cafe. Wow. Need to work on my soup recipes! Then got 12 free books at local bookstore, who gives their excess used books away but these were great books, including health, astrology cards worth $25 alone and I had wanted these ones, lonely planet guide to seattle, some spiritual books that look interesting and more. Feel better physically and did find out the ND does do well woman exams and has a special this month. Weight down to 155.4 today too.

    I hear you. I love good veg. soup and would love to learn to make a better version. I ate something yummy today. Unfortunately it was full of sugar. Had a coffee with a chocolate mocha biscotti. SO good...and too much dark chocolate last nite. ...am so jealous you got FREE books. How Cool is that!

    Boy, those lbs are just melting off of U. Glad U are feeling better. I need some good, healthy, organic soup recipes. Mine come out so bland.
