At the beach!

Well I woke up this morning and DH suggested a spontaneous trip to the coast, the Pacific beaches, and so we left and had a beautiful day at the beach (despite a few mishaps like getting the car stuck in the sand and DD hitting her head on the car door when she fell out accidentally yikes) it was a gorgeous day and good to get out and relax. I ran and walked on the beach with DD and the dogs too and we had fun. DH did not want to exercise but I did! I got 13000 steps in, including 30 mins on the rebounder with 5 lbs weights when I got home. The extra good news is I lost 1.1 lbs yesterday so I hope the calorie cycling is really working. That was a nice surprise as I had expected a gain! So 155.5 today.

    Yikes! I worked all weekend and checked to see how you are doing only to find you're at 155! Congratulations! How do you do your calorie cycling. I know kinda what it is but what do you do personally?
P.S. Tell DD, Mee Mee is grouchy but loves mommy a lot! Mini is a very sweet loving girl to everyone, even strangers! And Chloe is super frisky and loves to wave her fluffy tail around like a feather boa!

Day 83

Well no change today, but started doing the calorie cycling to see if it will help my body lose more again. I have been losing ok though so lets hope this works! I went on a long hike (well as long as I can go with a 3.5 yo!) and took a lot of photographs along the way. It was a gorgeous day here. I also did 30 mins on the elliptical HIIT and should walk a total of 15000 steps today, and did strength this morning too. Definitely feel it in my muscles though!!

    15,000 steps. Wow. I don't even know how many I do. Maybe I should wear that pedometer and set it to steps one of these days when i'm at work. I walk my BUTT off there!

The scales moved a little again down to 156.4 wow. I really seem to drop weight about 2 weeks before my period and I don't think its water because my water percent is lower. Anyhow at least things are moving. Would love to be in the 140's by October. Anyhow had a rest day but then did not sleep well, thanks DH! I am getting back on track today and did some extra strength today, it really makes me feel better when I do. Anyhow hopefully a quiet day and am going to do a little gardening to burn some extra calories.

    Wow, I'm so jealous that you *lose* weight 2 weeks before your period! I always retain water starting 2 weeks before mine....so the scale doesn't move for weeks.... *sigh* I'm in the middle of that right now.... *sigh again*...

I hate having a period. Apparently so does DH, because he won't switch with me for that week! LOL
Yes, exercise, for some STRANGE reason, makes me feel better as well! It takes me a little bit of talking to myself, but once I'm out there hitting the asphalt I'm exhilarated! WEIRD, huh!
You're doing really well, and I can see you at your October goal quite easily! Keep doing what you're doing!

Day 81

Thistles

Well DD went to bed early last night and trust me she needed it! She also threw her lunchtime macaroni and cheese ALL over the floor, and then had to clean it up. I think she won't do that again any time soon. Geez! I am taking a rest day today and going out to the grocery store and get some more food! I was running really low but stayed within my calorie range and finished up all the fruit and veggies. Ready for a change though thats for sure! I think DH misses my gourmet-yet-fattening meals! I am going to start cooking more (not-s0-fattening-meals) as the weather gets cooler, but have been enjoying a lot of salads.

The good news is the scales moved - again! 156.8 and that means...TADA...30 lbs lost! 17 to my goal! Wow I never thought I could do it. I was not even sure of my final goal but I think 140 would be good but need to get my body fat tested at that point I think. Anyhow think I will have a fun day with DD (hopefully!) and take a much needed rest, shopping is walking so will get some walking in but thats all I am planning. I think DD is cranky because she still has a nasty cough and cold and so cannot do her normal activities and she needs that, and so do I!

Review of my mini-goals:

1. Get below 170 into the 160's again!! DONE!

2. Get to 168 - thats exactly 12 stone. DONE!

3. Get to 163.5 - thats exactly half way on my weight loss. DONE!

5. Get below 160 into the 150's again!! DONE!

6. Get to 157 - thats exactly 30 lbs lost. DONE!

7. Get to 154 - thats exactly 11 stone. NEXT GOAL!

8. Get to 151.7 - thats 3/4th lost 1/4th to go!

9. Get below 150 into the 140's again!!

10. Get to 140 - my final goal!

    A stone is 14 lbs and how I grew up measuring weight in UK (which is now more metric) I still think that way though so for me 10 stone is my end goal and 11 stone is 154 lbs (which at the time sounded like a LOT and now does not lol). Hope this helps!

Day 80

I am just not getting a lot done today! I am trying to work and entertain DD who trashed the place (and screamed) when I was on a phone consultation. Oops. Time to go outside and burn off some energy I think. Its ok to be a WAHM but sometimes hard to juggle both, and my weight-loss is becoming a full time job too! Lucky we do a lot of hiking and walking and gets us both exercise. Did I mention she said "you are bossing me insane" and "psycho" and told me she learned them from a little girl at the preschool. Nice...then there was her announcement in the background of the phone consult "Mommy, I wiped my bottom ALL by myself" - I don't *think* they heard...

The scales moved a little (in the right direction) to 157.7 yay! They gave me the tease of 157.0 too but I don't think it was but hopefully soon! Onward and upward!
