Had an interesting and unexpectedly magical weekend. We had to go to Seattle for my SIL's surprise birthday party, which was ok, but on the way we went to WholeFoods - and this would ONLY happen to DD - where people dressed as cats came up to her and invited her to Kitty Kamp, we had a little time so I thought oh well may as well go as did not want to be early to the party and spoil the surprise (tho God forbid anyone try and throw me a surprise party lol). It turned out to be really fun for me and DD, they painted her face, helped her make ears and a tail, and she had her photo taken with the cast of the High School who were doing the musical Cats, all in full costume. Then they all danced with them and she got to do an obstacle course. So then I decided we may as well try and go to the show, but they had no tickets but I knew I could go Sunday if I stayed with my SIL, which I was not planning to do, but then DH decided to take his latest recycling efforts home (refrigerator, two office chairs, three picnic table and a huge metal support for our deck) so we did. The next day we went and waited for tickets and no problems getting ones people had turned in. It turned out to be amazing, as good as the Broadway one I had seen, and we both loved it and it was such an uplifting way to spend the afternoon. The school even has its own theater and specializes in drama, but you would not believe how good they were. Amazing! Then after various errands, we were kind of late for the ferry so I got to the booth and paid, and he said oh where do you want to go? I said I thought there was only one choice and he said no you can go here, my nearest town and one hour drive instead of two or three since the bridge we use is down for repair. So I said ok, and turned in my ticket and switched to the other booth, where we had to wait for an hour, so went to the beach right there and took (many) photos of the sunset, which was amazing, got on the ferry and it was like this sunset cruise all the way up Puget sound - just a gorgeous evening and so glad I took that ferry, next week when the bridge is back it will not be there any more, and its a beautiful ferry ride. Got home at almost midnight but had a good weekend.
