Ah, Sleep

Finally got some natural sleep - still have to walk the pups and do the bootcamp for the day , but it's 2130 (9:30P) and I'm "fixin' to get ready". Now, I hope I'll be able to sleep some tonight, instead of staying up all night and trying to get things done in the daytime ...


Better to get up late and be wide awake than to get up early and be asleep all day.

    I love sleep it just seems my body wants to do it at the wrong times like when I am suppose to be getting ready for work or at work! LOL Someday I will get my sleep times right!

Arrgh - the Computer is Fighting Me

I have a bunch of cute pictures I wanted to put in my blog, but the computer here at work isn't letting me upload them. Keeps telling me I'm not connected, although I am, darn it!

Anyway - I was Sooooo tired when I got home in the morning, I took sleeping pills. I knew if I walked the pups and did the bootcamp workout first, I'd wake myself up. Set my alarm for 1630 (4:30 P) - reset it for 1700 then 1730. Jumped (OK, crawled) out of bed, harnessed the pups and away we went. Did the upper body with ball workout. Had dinner and sucked down coffee - showered and off to work. The trouble with sleeping pills is they leave me loggy.

I'm off tomorrow, and I plan to sleep as soon as I can when I get home - I usually stay up on my turn-around days. I think that's what's been messing me up lately. I can walk the pups anytime tomorrow, and do the bootcamp workout in the evening. No rush!

Hope going right to bed worked out better for you. When I used to work those types of hours, I didn't (or couldn't) go right to bed; I had to unwind a bit first. By then, I was either wide awake or overtired; either way, I couldn't sleep for a few hours.

    I have read several of your posts and they are so fun with the pictures. I am a big dog lover and our schnauzer is better than any alarm. I don't sleep much but am a big fan of Simply Sleep when I need it. emoticon

    Fun post! Some mornings I wake up to a hungry kitteh without a snooze button! emoticon We have a new (stray) Itty Bitty Bobtail Kitteh who has taken a first floor unit with a view of the food dish in the two story cat tower by the chimney! JUST what we needed...another cat. emoticon

Back to Work

Still having trouble sleeping - I hate when I get in these cycles.

Even took sleeping pills this morning (I don't usually) so I could sleep until noon.

Did the "watch me fall off the exercise ball" workout. Walked the pups. Went to the gym fo rthe treadmill and circuit training workout. Shopped for cat litter (gotta make sure you have that!)

Now I'm at work, wishing I were home sleeping. No justice in the world!

    Sometimes it seems all turned around. Can't sleep when you want to and can't stay awake when you need to. Could be worse though. You could be sleeping all the time. emoticon emoticon

No, not the vampires. The original series!

I was lost somewhere yesterday. On Sunday, I tried to sleep in the afternoon, but couldn't stay asleep.
Finally got up, fed the critters, staggered around for a while, and walked the pups like I said in the last blog.
Thought, "no problem, I'll sleep tonight!" Nope. Up until 02 (2 AM), slept poorly until some idiot called me at 0645 - once again, I fumbled getting it out of the pouch, and no message. ARGH!!


Did NOT make it to the gym before my massage. Went to lunch afterward, thought I'd get a simple soup and sandwich at a nice restaurant. Minestrone soup - yum. Chicken southwest salad sounded good - it was HUGE!!! OMG! - ate 1/4 of it and took 3 of the take-home clam shells full of salad with me. I mean, really, how about a warning? Like, "will your friends be joining you for the salad? Would you like a half salad? How hungry are you, anyway?"
(I'm still eating it today)

Got the dog and cat foods. Went home and slumped. Managed the bootcamp workout, then decided to take a nap. Promised the pups I'd get up and walk them - but I never made it. Slept, tossed, turned, slept - and it was midnight. Hadn't recorded nutrition or exercise, blogged ... got up and fed and pottied the critters and went back to bed at 0300.


A little better today - still beautiful weather outside. Walked the pups wearing jeans and a sweatshirt this afternoon. No hat, no gloves, no jacket. It's January!! (Not that I'm complaining - I don't like being cold)
