Downloading Problems

I tried to download S2S Bootcamp Day 6 upper body resistance video last night at work. I started before midnight (10 or so) for a 7 minute video. Got automatically disconnected at one point. Had to start over, running back in to jiggle the cursor every once & a while. Still took 2 more hours. Being a sucker for punishment, I also redownloaded day 5's video. Whee. Luckily, it wasn't busy. Great last couple of nights.

So, anyway, 0400, I'm in the triage office y myself.. I did both the upper and lower body resistance bands workouts - twice! I like these. The ab workout the other day was a killer, but these are fun. Look at me, I'm enjoying working out. Check the temperature in Hades, I think it's about to freeze over.

Got home, took the pups for the 2 mile walk again. Shalako kept planting her little feet while Samurai dragged her. I finally got a clue about 15 minutes out - took them off the coupler and put them on separate leads. She was MUCH happier. Jogged again twice for about 2 minutes each (yep, Hades is definately cooling off). At one point, Samurai and I went left around a light pole, and Shalako decided to go right. Oops.

    I have the same problem with my dogs when I use the dual leash. One of them just runs here and there after the birds and prairie dogs and the other just wants to walk! Forward! Without stopping! He gets so frustrated when they're connected. Last time I did it, he just stopped at looked at me like, "Mom, please make her stop it. This is nuts." I ended up carrying him for most of the walk because I didn't have a separate leash for him.

    Good for you! So far I have been doing only cardio. My resistance bands are packed in a box somewhere in our garage...I've attempted to locate the bands, but no luck. You know what happens when you can't find something you're looking for....you go out and purchase new ones and then a couple of days later you find the originals. Anyway, I need to get on the ball (no pun intended) and find some strength training exercises. emoticon

Day 5 S2S Bootcamp

I did the lower body band workout for bootcamp at work. The work computers wouldn't let me see the videos. Finally got out my personal PC laptop, hooked it up to a dialup, and got the video. Took more than 15 minutes to download the video - kept freezing and starting. Finally, finally go it downloaded. I'd taken my resistance band in - whipped the video out and was surprised by how well it went. Yeah! I think tonight, I'll hook it up somewhere out of the way, download the new video, and do it later. Actually had a really good night.

Got home and walked the pups 50 minutes (2.1 miles) to my MP3. Actually jogged 4 minutes - walked a lot, jogged a minute, walked a lot more. Pups thought I'd lost my mind - especially poor Shalako. Samurai thought it was a new game and dragged her along. Rapidly going brain dead here now. ZZZZZzzzzzzzz.

  


Day 4 S2S Bootcamp - ouch!

Did the ab workout for day 4 today. It's a killer, but I was able to do most of it. Not very gracefully, but, hey, no one saw me except the critters. Who, once again, worried about why mom was crawling on the floor. emoticon

Made another big fruit salad - this time I tossed in frozen pineapple, blueberries, and peaches, with fresh blackberries, strawberries and bananas. Made 12 cups - which I eat as double servings with yogurt. Packed some for dinner tonight, and had some for breakfast.

Walked the pups 2 miles - now I'm ready to shower and go to sleep. Work tonight. My buddy is back from her vacation. Yeah!

  Great blog, I agree the bootcamp challengesw are fun and I too am very clumsy but if it gets you there, who cares, lol!!! emoticon

So, I stayed up all night messing around without doing much. Wrapped up the books for bookmooch, took them to the post office and mailed them as soon as it opened. Finally got to sleep 1100 or so.

Sprang up (OK, crawled up, propping one eye open reluctantly) @ 1900. Took the pups on a 3.2 mile sunset walk - lovely - The air temp was 80, but the breeze kept me cool. Ate dinner. Watched the boob tube. Looked for my long resistance band for the workout - couldn't find it!! Rushed over to WalMart and bought one. Stood in line behind the slowest checkout ... poor checker was getting off at midnight and is exhausted. I think she needs glasses, too, judging from the squinting while she tried to read the numbers. Why do people wait until it's rung up before they look for their wallets/purses?

Steps: 11600 now. Good stretching and upper body workout. The pups and kits couldn't figure out why I was sitting & kneeling on the floor. "Mom, you OK?"

    Thanks for checking out my S2S Day 3 blog AND for the SparkGoodie! It was very thoughtful of you - funny too because I am desperately in need of a yoga mat. BUT, I know I have one somewhere in the house so I refuse to buy a new one. Everyone in the family has seen it at some point but none of us can remember where!

Good job on getting Day 3 done - especially because you had to go out for new equipment.

Break on thru to the other side!

Finally broke thru the plateau and lost 4.5 pounds this week. Couldn't believe it when I stepped on the scales this morning. emoticon

Had my all day nursing conference today. Packed a hardboiled egg, cheese stick, 2 tangerines, and a banana. Oh, and a protein bar. Treated myself to half a blueberry bagel with a smear of cream cheese for breakfast. Paced the others out thru the day. We had 80 minutes for lunch break - I walked almost an hour to get my steps in.

Had my massage afterward. Hmmm. Almost fell asleep on the table, even tho Deb was working on my sore back. Funny how I don't realize how tight my muscles are until she startes rubbing. Ouch!

Treated myself to dinner at Furrs - big salad, lots of veggies, grilled chicken breast. Yum


Walked the pups tonight, then did the 8 minute lower body band workout. I'm at 10200 steps now for today.
