Flipping around from awake in the days to trying to sleep today. Got up at 0400, have done the dishes, washed clothes & linens, walked the pups. I uncovered the birds when I got up, and have left the lights and radio on in the bedroom - I'll be covering them up soon. Poor, confused little guys. I think both of them are males - the area above their beaks are looking light blue (blue for boys, tan or pink for girls - how cliche!)

This one is making it around the internet - I got it as an Email. I never can leave anything alone, so I added pix from the lol sites.
It's that time of year for us to take our annual senior citizen test.
Exercise of the brain is as important as exercise of the muscles. As we grow older, it's important to keep mentally alert. If you don't use it, you lose it!
Below is a very private way to gauge how your memory compares to the last test. Some may think it is too easy but the ones with memory problems may have difficulty. Take the test presented here to determine if you're losing it or not.
The spaces below are so you don't see the answers until you've made your answer.
OK, relax, clear your mind and begin.
1. What do you put in a toaster?
Answer: 'bread.' If you said 'toast' give up now and do something else..
Try not to hurt yourself.
If you said, bread, go to Question 2.
2. Say 'silk' five times. Now spell 'silk.' What do cows drink?
Answer: Cows drink water. If you said 'milk,' don't attempt the next question. Your brain is over-stressed and may even overheat. Content yourself with reading a more appropriate literature such as Auto World.
However, if you said 'water', proceed to question 3.
3. If a red house is made from red bricks and a blue house is made from blue bricks and a pink house is made from pink bricks and a black house is made from black bricks, what is a green house made from?
Answer: Greenhouses are made from glass. If you said 'green bricks,' why are you still reading these???
If you said 'glass,' go on to Question 4.
4 Without using a calculator - You are driving a bus from London to
Milford Haven in Wales . In London , 17 people get on the bus.
In Reading , 6 people get off the bus and 9 people get on.
In Swindon , 2 people get off and 4 get on.
In Cardiff , 11 people get off and 16 people get on.
In Swansea , 3 people get off and 5 people get on.
In Carmathen, 6 people get off and 3 get on.
You then arrive at Milford Haven ..
Without scrolling back to review, how old is the bus driver?
Answer: Oh, for crying out loud!
Don't you remember your own age?
It was YOU driving the bus!!
If you pass this along to your friends, pray they do better than you.
PS: 95% of people fail most of the questions!!

I couldn't walk the pups yesterday - everytime I started to, it was raining. This is not a good idea with small, fluffy dogs. "Princess" Shalako doesn't like to get her toes or face wet, and "Macho" Samurai like to splash thru the puddles. Either way, I end up with bedraggled wet, filthy pups. Maybe not THIS mucky!
Anyway, I took my friend to her colonoscopy today. Rain splattering on the windshield all the way. Obviously, I had not walked the pups first. While she was in the back, undergoing her procedure, the rain stopped for a while. I walked around the building complex for half an hour to get 5K steps. When she was ready, I took her to the grocery and Walgreens for supplies and prescription refill, then home. She was a little woozy, but walking fine. She kept apologizing for the escaping fartlets. Told her "no problem!" - she's been my ride home for a couple of them, so I know what it feels like to have a belly full of gas.
Had my massage, stopped by Wild birds Unlimited to get some of my stored seed, and made it home. The clouds were getting darker and darker. Got home and pottied the pups, and started filling the bird feeders. Oh, no, who let the rain come down? Standing under the tree where I have several feeders was OK, but we got soaked running the exposed 15 feet to the front door. Coming down in buckets!! And it continued to rain really hard for about an hour.
I managed to haul the pups around the 1.5 mile walk about 1700 (5P) - lifting them over the worse puddles. Flash flood warnings up all over the state. I didn't watch the news today - there's always someone, somewhere in New Mexico that doesn't believe the flash flood warnings and gets caught in an arroyo (big drainage ditch). The flood waters run fiercely in them - extremely dangerous to be in. The pups, tho, had fun sniffing and remarking averything on the walk.
