Ok it's been a while since I've posted a blog but, today I've hit another milestone and I had to blog! I have been 100% on track for 55 days and have lost 35lbs! I know that's not a lot of weight but, for me it is! I have been at the same weight or around the same weight for years! This is the lowest I've weighed since Jan 4th of last year!!! I know most of us on here are trying to lose weight or have lost and is now maintaining. But for so long I've felt like I couldn't lose weight no matter what I did! And now I see that my problem was that I wasn't patient enough! If the scale went up and I knew I had been doing everything right I would give up and say why am I even trying! Which I know is crazy because so many factors can cause the scale to go up! But, this time I've not cared if the scale went up or down I just kept getting up at 4:45am and working out! My focus has been eating clean, working out and just being patient! And it works!!! It REALLY WORKS! It's only 35lbs but I can feel a huge difference in my body and how my clothes fit!
I don't know if anyone will even see or read this blog. But, if you are reading and you're feeling or have felt discouraged by the scale. Because if you are doing everything right eventually you will see results! When the scale is going in the wrong direction or is stuck on stupid! Lol Focus on other improvements in your body! I noticed my lower back pain completely went away once I was consistent with eating right and working out! A brand new blouse that I couldn't wear now fits perfectly! None scale victories like that is what kept me and is keeping me going strong! ....
Ok so it's been well over a year since my last post! I've not been consistently coming to SparkPeople this year either! I've slacked off sooooo much until it's ridiculous! I've had so much going on in my life and I've allowed my fitness and health to take a back seat! Which of course is the wrong thing to do! So now I'm having to start all over! I've gained too much weight to even mention! How much weight you ask? Well let's just say... I've gained back the pounds that I lost in the past and they brought family and friends with them!!! That's how much!! Ugggghhh!!! I don't know why I stopped doing low carb b/c it's the only thing that I've stuck with and had success with! So today is day 5 doing low carb and I'm seriously craving my carb fix! But, I'm going to stay strong and keep going b/c it has to get easier doesn't it?
This morning I did something I've never ever done on Valentine's Day!..I worked out!! Which might not seem like a big deal to most people but for me it is!..I've never worked out on Valentine's Day and it felt so good to get up this morning and get in that workout!..So far this year I've been on track 100% which is another big accomplishment for me..B/c I've never gone more than 2 or 3 weeks without slipping and eating something that I'm not suppose to!..So with only 6 weeks into the New Year I've already accomplished two things that I've failed to do in the past!!! I'm definatly off to a great start and I really feel good about this up coming year!..
So..of course I've heard about Zumba but I was never really interested b/c I was like...This is just another "workout whatever"..Just like all the other thousand of workout DVD's out there...Then the other day one of my girlfriend's was like I took this Zumba class and it was so much fun you have to try it.. blah, blah, blah!..lol..So I was like ok..I'll buy the DVD's off Amazon and see what all the hype is about...From the beginning until the cool down is just..Wow!!!..I have been missing out on so much fun!...I am So Hooked!..This is the best workout Ever!..I'm honestly looking forward to working out again with it tomorrow..!
I doubt anyone will read this b/c I never blog..lol..But I had so much fun I just have to blog about it!...My family and I went to Disney World for 4 days and we had the time of our lives!..This is my 2nd trip to Disney World the first was for 7 days and it was so hot we didn't really get to fully enjoy ourselves..But this time the weather was 74 degrees and it was absolutely perfect! Saying it was crowded is an understatement! We had park hopper tickets so we visited all the parks but we didn't get to bring in the New Year at Magic Kingdom b/c it was over capacity!!!..So we brought the New Year's in at HollyWood Studios which had 40 thousand plus people at just that park alone!!!...But it was so much fun with the fireworks and dancing and the food!!!..I had so much bad food!...But we also walked 12 plus hrs a day so I guess everything evened out b/c I did not gain a pound!!!...That was def one of the most exciting and memorable New Year's I've ever had in my life!...Happy New Year's Sparkers!
