Insanity wk. 3 repeat Day 3

Cardio recovery day. Easy, fast, lots of yoga and balance exercises. Still made me sweat. Back down to pre-travel weight. Life would be good if stuff otherwise would fall into place like my re-commitment to working out. ;-))) In the words of the immortal Roseanne Roseannadanna - It's always somthin'.

This morning did pure cardio workout and the "cardio abs" workout. I don't care much for the abs workout, but will stick with it for the next two weeks. Otherwise it was an awesome, and I'm already well on the way to losing all the travel weight I gained last week. Feels good to be back in the groove.

For the last two weeks I have fallen off the wagon. The first two weeks of Insanity were great, but then when I knew that I would be traveling for a week for work and wouldnt be able to do week 4, I sloughed off at week 3. Then I traveled and drank and ate waaay too much, and did about two mornings of exercise. So in order to get back on track now, I'm picking up where I fell off. I'm repeating week 3 entirely and then doing week four. I know that falling down on week 3 was just rationalizations. I could have done some form of my workout routines even on travel, but instead I wanted to hang out and have fun. So avoiding alcohol this week, and eating right. Mindset needs to be adjusted. :-)

    Sounds like a plan. Travel is hard. I survive a four day, off site, out of town kickoff meeting earlier this month. I just scheduled the exercise in like any other meeting. Some I did in the morning, some I did right before dinner.

Fall down seven, get up eight.

    that is so funny, we ALL do that! rationalization ........ we still don't have it in our heads yet that this is just a way of life and it is so easy to slide back .

Insanity - Fit Test Repeat

Because I'm traveling all week next week and won't be able to watch the Insanity videos, i am varying this week to start today (Tuesday) and go through Sunday so that next Monday is a day off. Did the fit test again today, and showed improvement in all six of the sets. As my wife noted yesterday, it's designed so that people will show improvement every time you do it, and I noted back to her that if it's designed to do that and you don't show improvement, it would really be trouble. :-) So I was glad that I showed improvement.
