I too will be getting married soon and would love to have lost this unwanted excess. The feelings of failure are present at the littlest of things. I remind myself small steps, short goals to reach my the big one. Everyday is an accomplishment and a new start. I will keep you in my thoughts and hope each day is a success for you.

IF I LOST 1 LB. EACH WEEK OF 2010
By Valentine's Day I'd be 7 lbs. lighter! I'm loving it!
By St. Patrick's Day I'd be 11 lbs. lighter!
With the lucko-the Irish I'll make my goal.
By Easter I'd be 16 lbs. lighter!
I'd be a cuter bunny.
By Memorial Day I'd be 23 lbs. lighter!
Won't let it rain on my parade.
By Flag Day I'd be 25 lbs. lighter!
Boy, could I wav e m y flag then.
By Independence Day I'd be 27 lbs. lighter!
That's a neat declaration of independence from overeating!
By Labor Day I'd be 36 lbs. lighter!
What a wonderful reward for all my hard work.
By Columbus Day I'd be 41 lbs. lighter!
What a joy to discover what I can do.
By Halloween I'd be 44 lbs. lighter!
I didn't think I had a ghost of a chance.
By Thanksgiving I'd be 47 lbs. lighter!
I'd have so much to be thankful for.
By Christmas Eve I'd be 51 lbs. lighter!
Talk about being merry.
By New Year's Eve I'd be 52 lbs. lighter!
It's not just a new year, it's a new ME

my mom sent me this as a poem but it does sound like my goal.

This is GREAT! That's how I lost my weight, 1 pound a week until my body said "I'm Done" at about 128 pounds. :) (And then I FORVED it to lose more by cutting carbs for a fitness competition... that wasn't my favorite part of the journey :)

Thanks for your comments on my SparkPage! Congrats on all your success as well! You have made such improvements in your health as well as appearance! GOOD JOB!

LET'S DO IT!! Sometimes our goals are unreachable because we reach too high too fast. Thanks for this little ditty.

PS: (good to see you on the boards) and I LOVE your new profile pic!

Isn't it amazing when we think of what a transformation one year can make! Our weight didn't come on over night, but we always think it should come off fast. 1 pound/week is SO doable! Looking forward to celebrating all of the "New Me's" next New Years eve!

I like your way of thinking. You will make yuour goal in no time if you stick to that plan. Imagine, 52 pounds a year, you would definitely be a new you and looking a whole lot better.

i have applyed to be a suicide girl about a couple monthes ago and i got aproved. so i'm making it my goal to get into better shape and lose my exess baggage, all i have left to do is fill out my paper work and get some pictures done so i can't wait.

to those who don't know what a Suicide girl is they are Pin-up girls that don't fit the "girl next door" image, they are tattooed and pierced and rough around the edges, Picture Betty Page like.
