SB P1 Day 4

Mom is visiting for a few days, so it will be a good challenge for me to stay w/in P1 guidelines while cooking "normally" for she and John. I managed to pass up artisan olive-rosemary bread and cookies last night... It will also be hard to get the cardio in, but I'll give it my best. Down 1.4lb so far.

Second day of staying on track diet-wise. AND I did cardio. And took time out for meditation. All major areas of procrastination for me, so that feels good. Have built a shelf over my treadmill so I can put my laptop up there and watch the WAY cool G-Force visualizations light show while I listen to my exercise music playlists. Makes me want to dance -- which is not such a great idea on a treadmill.... Lost .8 yesterday (Day 1) Would be SO happy if I could lose as much (10 lbs) as I did the first time I did 2 weeks of South Beach Phase 1. And it really did help to eliminate my cravings for sugar and white carbs.

Well, already I'm bargaining -- couldn't let the pears and fresh apple cider our friends brought go to waste, but didn't want to postpone starting another day, so decided Day 1 would be a "fruit & nut" day and I'll drop the fruit and do "by-the-book" South Beach Phase 1 from tomorrow on. I DID however, get back on the treadmill for 35 minutes of cardio. That felt good.

Well, haven't been able to give that goal a checkmark for the last 3 days because I keep choosing to join in on the political disparagement comments in post election conversations. I guess the good news is that I'm aware that that's what I'm doing....

PS - the 1st Nov 9 entry is actually the 8th and this one the 9th - the east coast midnight often throws my dates off on this site

So I've spent the day eating all the stuff I didn't want to have around to tempt me on Phase 1.... What a twisty mind I have.
Still have oranges, apples, apple cider, none of which will keep for 2 weeks, so maybe first day will be a sort of fruit & nut kickoff -- pretty lo cal starter and then on to P1?? Or maybe I could just trust the refrig w/ the fruit and freeze the cider?
