Keep your heat, we don't wanna share it so much in Canada! EXPENSIVE !!

Sunday, July 08, 2012

Oh, My goodness, it is too hot. When you all down south were getting heat, I must admit I was a bit envious since all we were getting was rain, rain, rain.

Well, I will learn to shut up now, we have received your heat wave and I don't like that either. Need to do work in my yard, but it's much too hot to be out there! At least we are not suffering with lost power and the other concerns some of you Americans have had, sorry to hear of that by the way.

Yesterday, cost me about $300.00 though, had to go to the mall where there is air conditioning to stay cooler, and ended up spending money ....... must admit I got some nice things though, all the summer clothes is on sale! (Oh, no - does this mean they will be bringing out the parkas and winter boots right away?! )

Until now, I have been cinching my clothes with belts and other disguises as they have become so big on me. Well, yesterday, I spent money on new clothes that actually fit .... now I have to stay thinner I guess!

Down a total of 6 sizes OH WOW. Very prooud of myself let me say! ........................

And, how was your weekend ?? !! emoticon

Congrats on being down 6 sizes! emoticon

It is such fun to get new things at lower sizes.

We are just getting hit with that heat also. It is miserable!

Stay cool today!

The heat has it us here in Northeast Oregon also. And I was doing the same thing....complaining about the rain and cool weather oh how I wish I had a day of it now!! Suppose to be a 105 here today so we are heading to the mountains to swim at one of the ponds/lakes.

Congratulations on the weight loss and shopping spree!!

Sounds like you had a fun time shopping!

We've been seeing a lot of movies, the theaters are nice and cool, and it only costs $7.50 for each of us.

One of the payoffs of losing weight is buying new clothes and what better time to be in air conditioned stores than when it is HOT outside. Congratulations on the weight loss! emoticon

"Eh" is actually for the Eastern Canadians, Us Westerners aren't too fussy on those folks for the most part, they believe they are the centre of the Earth, but are actually the A-holes of Canada, I''M JUST SAYIN' ............ and it's just a quote, someone else actually owns the phrase. I'm not necessarily agreeing with them keep in mind! emoticon ....... out here in the west, we just swear lots!

My Day ... I hate house taxes!

Friday, June 29, 2012

Gee, I spent $2,300.00 plus $$'s today and came home with nothing! Hope they do my road this year, and perhaps move the snow so I can get out of my own neighborhood in the winter. Oh, and I live across from a park full of dandelions ....... you think they would do something about them, I don't want to share them and then have to pay for it too. And if you are late paying, it's an 8% penalty ..... GEEESH

Is it $2,300 for the whole year or part of the year?

Our taxes are $1,800 twice a year ($3,600). For that we get some serivces (plowing) on their schedule.

But we are getting a new road and sewers this year. They said it is not a tax but an improvement to our prorerty and is a special assessment which means when we pay it (either added to our taxes plus interest for 10 years or paid in full next fall) it is NOT Tax deductible!!!

Oh, and the worst part is, this project is costing each homeowner in our area almost $15,000.
