Ah, what a feeling.
I just realized today how much energy and motivation I now have. The more I accomplish, the more I am pushed in the right direction.
I likely always knew that would be the case, but chose to ignore it because it was easier and lazier to take the easy route into denial.
This has been a great year full of fun and vacations and best of all, the loss of many extra lbs. that were holding me down and tiring me out.
The best is yet to come, also known as life begins at 55, since 40 was fat me!
I feel just great, almost like a kid again ....... ALMOST !

Well, here we are ending another summer once again, where did it go? The time went so quickly, can't believe we are going to be in the snow and ice in just a few months. Usually by the end of October, it is iffy that it won't have snowed. And for those who aren't familiar with Canadian winters, the snow stays sometimes until April. Driving stinks, the roads are icy, it's damned cold (rarely above the freezing mark, and more times than not, quite a bit below zero!
I am today trying to get the last of the outdoor work done, laying the stones down in the garden, levelling out the soil that I have dug up and rearranged all thru the summer.
Next summer, I start the entire flower beds all over again, I have dug up everything this summer including the perennials, time to start fresh. I will spend some of the winter pre-planning the new garden, thanks to Lois Hole. For anyone around our area, she is a household name, she has written numerous books about growing in our climate, and owned one of the most well known greenhouse in the area. She passed away a few years back, but was a great person, always doing charity work, they even named a hospital after her. Anyway, for good information written in layman English, the books are great for cold climate growing. There are so many things that don't grow here not only because of the winder, but the short growing season in the summer being so restrictive also.
Well, obviously I don't have time to sit here writing this blog, so it's back to the great outdoors once again, shovel in hand !!
And, how is your day going??

The other day when I was walking through the woods, I saw a rabbit standing in front of a candle making shadows of people on a tree.
Last time I went skiing, I had to get up at 5:00 in the morning. I knew I couldn't do that, so I slept with my skis on. My ride came at 5:30 in the morning, couldn't wake me up so he carried me out of the house, put my skis on the roof rack of the car, and drove to the mountain. Seventeen miles later, I woke up out of this incredibly bizarre dream that I was skydiving horizontally. I'm sure this has happened to you.
I bought a dog the other day... I named him Stay. It's fun to call him... "Come here, Stay! Come here, Stay!" He went insane. Now he just ignores me and keeps typing. He's an East German Shepherd. Very disciplined.
I put contact lenses in my dog's eyes. They had little pictures of cats on them. Then I took one out and he ran around in circles.
My girlfriend does her nails with white-out. When she's asleep, I go over there and write misspelled words on them.
There was a power outage at a department store yesterday. Twenty people were trapped on the escalators.
I was in the supermarket the other day, and I met a lady in the aisle where they keep the generic brands. Her name was "woman".
I went to the museum where they had all the heads and arms from the statues that are in all the other museums.
I got tired of calling the movies to listen to what is playing so I bought the album.
A friend of mine once sent me a postcard with a picture of the entire planet Earth taken from space. On the back it said 'Wish you were here.'
Last week I bought a new phone. I took it out of the box, hooked it up to the wall... Pressed redial. The phone had a nervous breakdown.
One time I went to a drive-in in a taxi cab. The movie cost me $95.
Last time I went to the movies I was thrown out for bringing my own food. My argument was that the concession stand prices are outrageous. Besides, I haven't had a Bar-B-Que in a long time.
BUT MY ALL TIME FAVORITE IS .....
When I was a kid, my Grandma gave me $10.00 and told me not to tell my dad. I told her it would cost her $20.00.

Have you ever felt that the faster you go, the behinder you get ? ! That describes my day. Up at 5:10 and out the door to work at 6:10, busier than ever, so very little break time, ate lunch while I worked. I know, don't tell me, this is not a good thing.
Off work, hopped the bus which took me to my car which drove me to all sorts of places doing all kinds of errands, and between that a bit of shopping for pleasure. I suppose that made me my own worst enemy, huh?? !
I finally walked back into my front door at about 8:30, no supper yet. Again, I know, don't tell me, again this is not a good thing.
So to sum it all up, I got my exercise but my eating habits really stank today! Oh, well, tomorrow is another day, 5:30 comes very early again (and again, and again) ....
