A time long ago when I was fat (fatter?) .......... a thanks and an invitation to a good friend

Thursday, September 06, 2012

Well, it's been just over seven months and I feel like a new woman. I am down almost 70 lbs and am never hungry. NO, NEVER.

I can't believe it, and all because of one innocent invitation to be a pal and asked me to join Weight Watchers with her 'cause she needed a buddy. Little did I know that moment would change drastically how well I feel now, I really wasn't even thinking about my health or weight very much at all. I had just lost my husband to M.S. complications after many years of being ill and wasn't used to looking after anyone but him, not even myself most times, therefore it wasn't the top priority at that time.

Funny however sad at the same time, she didn't manage to loose much weight at all, and since the program ended has put on whatever she had lost.

Anyway, I just wanted to say thanks to Sasha for the invitation, and extend my own invitation to her to join me for the 2013 session (when work pays the bill for us once again).

Back to reality, no more vacations until November now .... so sad

Monday, September 03, 2012

Well, here I am, back home from a lovely vacation and getting ready to return to work tomorrow. All good things must end I suppose.

I do get a 4 day weekend later in the month, so it's some relief until my next vacation in November, going on a cruise around the Carribean. Seems so long from now, but judging by the chili weather I returned home to last night, it will be moving onto winter quite soon and I will have earned some fun in the sun for a few weeks!

Until then, I am getting back into my routine, back into watching what I eat a little more closely once again and back to indoor exercise due to the weather conditions here is good old Canada.

It's been a great summer, had 6 weeks off, then returned for 5 days of mornings only, now it's time to pay for my enjoyment and save for the next adventure.

I feel like I came home for a rest since we were so busy while we were away, too much fun! Time now to cry ..... LOL

I fly home tonight, my vacation sadly draws to an end .....

Sunday, September 02, 2012

My goodness time just flies (when you're having fun)

I can't believe how quickly the past week has flown by, so much to do in so little time. Managed to go to a good friends for dinner and out to dinner to a nice pub with one of my other friends here on Vancouver Island. Did lots (and lots and lots) of shopping, spent probably too much money .... oh well, easy come, easier go I always say. Spent some quality time with my mom and dad. Went to all the favorite places I have on the island.

Just packed my bags, and leave for home in seven hours.

Gee, I can't see through my tears of sadness to write more ....... talk to you all from 'the other side' !!
