Hey guys - it's just been busy

Tuesday, January 13, 2009

To all my friends checking up on me. I'm ok. It's just been really busy. I need to keep the workouts in my life so whenever something's gotta give - you all know it's my blog and my comments. I'm sorry. I miss everyone.

I also just realized that I'm supposed to be sending the daily mailers for The Daily Double team and I forgot all about it. I also forgot to send out the DD mailer on the daily double team and my Two for You mailer for the Spark Class team of Nov 9 -15. Sorry. I'm starting tomorrow.

My classroom is coming together. I'm getting the paperwork done. I didn't bring work home tonight so I'm going to go get a workout in. I will post to my teams when I can. I just need to focus on getting my exercise in.

Oh, does anyone use a food tracker other than SP. SP seems to take forever and the foods are limited. I use Calorie Count sometimes. Any other super fast trackers? I reeaally need to start tracking again!

Have a great night everyone.

Kashi oatmeal 150/20
Protein water 30/0
Wasa crackers 35/10 (1) 70/20
Laughing Cow Cheese 35/20 (1) 35/20

Etc, etc. Anyway, take a deep breath and take care of yourself!! *hugs*

Thrilling Thursday!

Thursday, January 08, 2009

That's what we call it at school.

I've been pretty good about my eating, drinking water and exercising. I should see a loss Sunday for my weigh in. If I don't, it will be pretty discouraging. I've been good. It's good for me to be in a routine. I don't have time to pick. I eat what I bring and that's it.

Sinatra had his 2nd chemo treatment yesterday. No puking anywhere - emoticon
Drs are concerned that he is anemic and are hoping for better bloodwork and some weight gain, next Wednesday. He seems happy - although he's mad at us for bringing him to the vet but there's nothing we can do about that! So for now, we have him a little longer. We'll see what next Wednesday brings.

emoticon to all my friends.

I am so glad he is taking the chemo well. Don't get frustrated Debbe. You will do fine. You are making the right choices and the scale isn't the only way to see progress. Girlfriend you are DOING IT!!! emoticon

I am with you on the routine thing; the more regular my schedule, the less wiggle room for random "oops, I didn't eat, so I guess I'll eat this (insert unhealthy binge food here)."

I am happy that Sinatra is taking his treatments well.

If you don't have a loss on Sunday, don't be discouraged. I am anxious to see what this week brings for me too! (I'll be looking at the posts...Good luck!!!! I know you will do well, as usual!)

This picture is a week or two before Christmas. Sinatra was doing fine and Dominic was trying to scare him for some reason. God Bless him, he takes everything Dominic does in stride. Although, I must say, Dominic has always been gentle with him.

Thank you so much for all the kind words and prayers about Sinatra. He's doing much better. He has another chemo treatment tomorrow. We're supposed to get a bad ice storm so I hope I can get him there.

Thursday and Friday, last week, I would do a little housework and go lay next to him and cry. He didn't leave the living room either day. I had to bring him food and water. Friday we started the steroids. On Saturday he was up and around and begging for food and he even gave us the "can we go for a walk look". So we went down the street about 4 houses and back.

We are cautiously optimistic right now. I read that if the chemo gets him into remission, he will hopefully be with us for another year max. I'll take what I can get - as long as he's not suffering in any way. He seems happy again - very skinny - but happy and that's all I can ask for right now.

Everyone else here is doing great. I started my job. Although, the room is a mess and there are no plans and tests are behind, I love the kids. They are wonderful. The are cooperative and we are getting a lot done. Once I claw my way out of the piles of unfiled paperwork and stuff - I think I'm going to enjoy this....

OH and I never said "Happy New Year" everyone!!!!

My big dawg....

Can everyone please keep our dog, Sinatra, in your prayers? I just found out 2 hours ago that he has lymphoma and as I type, he is getting his first chemo treatment.

He has been my best bud and my "baby" for almost 12 years. He taught me how to run. He let me cry on him through 6 frustrating years of infertility. He stayed up with me through all the newborn sleepless nights. He's loved me, my husband and son unconditionally.

Drs. aren't sure what will happen, right now, as he is battling arthritis too. So....prayers are needed and welcome.

Thank you everyone.

My prayers are with you and Sinatra. I know the love of a dog, my little Taz has always been there and stays right on my heels when I don't feel good. There is nothing as precious as the unconditional love of a dog. You sound like me, he is part of the family not just a dog, but more like another child. I would be totally lost if anything happened to Taz. I will pray that the chemo works well and he is feeling better soon. Positive thoughts and hugs for you too. Love Ya! If you need anything or just an ear just spark me and I will be here. emoticon emoticon emoticon

Have a Safe and Happy New Year Everyone!

Tuesday, December 30, 2008

I may not have time to blog this tomorrow or on New Year's Day so I wanted to post it now.
We are almost to a new year. We can accomplish anything we set our minds too. Let's try to keep the Spark, that drives us the first few days/weeks of the new year, ALIVE ALL YEAR. Make this your year to shine - to accomplish everything you set out to accomplish. Let's do it together in 2009!!

I Am The New Year

I am the New Year.
I am an unspoiled page in your book of time.
I am your opportunity to practice what you have learned during the last twelve months about life.

All the good things that you tried to do for others and didn't achieve last year is mine to grant - providing you have fewer selfish and conflicting desires.

In me lies the potential of all that you have dreamed but didn't dare to do,
all that you hoped but did not perform,
all you prayed for but did not yet experience.

I am your opportunity to renew your allegiance to Christ who said, "Behold, I make all things new" (Rv 21:5)

I am the New Year

Be safe. Be happy. Be healthy.
