My S.M.A.R.T. Goals For BLC24

Monday, January 20, 2014

Our first weekend challenge for BLC 24 includes setting SMART goals:

My SMART goal is to maintain my MoM (master of maintenance) status, which means staying within 5 pounds of my goal weight.
I will do this by continuing to track my food, water and exercise. I will participate in my team's challenges and log my weigh-ins every Wednesday.
I want to maintain my MoM status throughout the 12 weeks of BLC24.

My Behavior Goal:
1. Drink at least 8 glasses of water daily.
2. Aim for 300 fitness minutes weekly
3. Work on planning weekly menus and adding more freggies to meals

My accountability is posting my goals here on Spark, and sharing with my team.

My rewards will be just knowing that I CAN do this! Fitting into my clothes and being a healthier ME is a great reward!

I love these specific goals!! I was just thinking how I can keep mine in front of me daily. I usually use a post-it note, but am thinking about putting a reminder tone on my phone to go off daily.

What are your techniques ... ?

My Plan To Stay On Track Through The Holidays

Sunday, December 15, 2013

My plan to stay on track through the holidays is to continue with what I've been doing:

Track my food
Exercise at least 5 days a week
Drink a minimum of 8 glasses of water daily
Weigh-in on Wednesdays
Stay in touch with my team

I may do some baking before Christmas if time permits. I plan to share the goodies with friends and family. If I decide to allow myself to have something, it will be limited and will be added to my tracker. I can have these things anytime I want, so there's no need to go overboard this time of year.

The holidays will also be our break time from the BLC. I will not be taking a break from my plan. My goal is to not post a gain at the beginning of BLC24. emoticon

Hey girlie! your plan is great-about the same as mine, but I have been very lax in logging my food..I just try to behave b/c I am so swamped with stuff to do right now, and keeping hands busy with crocheting and knitting right now, so that I'm not using them to put food into my mouth!!
I also want to keep my tracker from adding weight!! So I am staying focused on what goes in the mouth!
Pray that your goals become a victory as we end the year 2013!!

BLC23 Goals and Rewards

Tuesday, September 24, 2013

The BLC23 twelve-week challenge is starting this Wednesday. I'm on the Ivory Falcons team.

My goal for this round is to lose 5 pounds and then make the decision about going on maintenance or trying to lose a couple more pounds. Realistically, I think 5 more pounds is where I would feel good and maintenance would be possibility.

In order to reach my goals I will:

1. Track ALL my food each and every day on Spark or My Fitness Pal.
2. Track CICO
3. Exercise a minimum of 250 minutes each week.
4. Drink at least 8 glasses of water daily.
5. Continue working on adding freggies. I do pretty well with fruit, but need to work on getting at least 2 servings of veggies.
6. Pre-plan - food, exercise and whatever else I need to stay on track

My reward will be feeling better about myself, and fitting into my smaller clothes. emoticon

Great goals. You have got to be on track already to have so many goals. No wonder you are so close to maintenance. Good luck with the challenge.

LUV your goals, and the fact that your reward will be to look and feel better, not necessarily to get into a smaller size. Becca

BLC22 TNT and Captains Challenge

Saturday, June 08, 2013

BLC22 started on Wednesday and I'm on the Sassy Shamrocks Sheriffs team. Every Thursday/Friday we have a TNT challenge (Tighten n Tone) and this week our captains added some things to the TNT for bonus points

We were to do the following exercises and record our scores:

Squats - 35
Plank (modified) - 38seconds
Wall squat - 40 seconds
Crunches - unable to do (health reasons)
Arm curls with 7 pound wts. - 25
Wall Push-ups - 35
One mile walk - 19 minutes

We are also taking pictures to show our flexibility. Mine is on my phone, so if I can't get it posted I'll still have something to compare it with at the end of the round.
