I have been using the combination of these 3 for the past year now and it has helped me so much.
I use SparkPeople for "exercise and goal" challenges as I have not found any other place that has so many people encouraging eachother like everyone here. This is truly a tight knit little family.
I use fitbit to track my steps and miles walked. The numbers help me to know if I am pushing myself enough or if I need to step it up. So far since July 21, 2012 - Everyday since October, I have walked 145.24 miles, climbed 234 floors, taken 514,918 steps
I use My Fitness Pal to log my food as it seems to work better for me on my android phone. I had to many time outs with the SparkPeople app.
The main thing is that the combination of all of these is helping me to get fit. My blood work this last month was good my doctor said. My total cholesterol was 147. LDL-60, HDL-56. My triglycerides were 157- a little high he said but not real bad. Told me to eat more nuts, avacado etc.
So I want to thank all my Spark friends for the constant encouragement I get from you not only by postings or emails, but also by What YOU are doing yourself to get and stay fit.
Now if you all could send me some I would love it. It is so hot and dry in Texas!
