Boy does time fly! School is almost over. I have been working my daughter hard to get caught up. We had three field trips this past weekk , which put her a little behind. Beauty of cyber school is that she can do schoolwork anytime and is not limited to a normal school day. Only 13 more school days!

I am now in the 160s. Wow! Have 25 more pounds to go. I am usually good at losing the weight, it is maintaining the loss that is the issue. I hope SP can help me with that!

The twins high school fastpitch is not finished for the season. Maj0r disappointment. Every game I attended the team loss by the "mercy" rule. The twins were lucky if they had 1 at bat. They will not even be playing in a rec league this year as there were not enough girls signed up.

Watching Stephen King's Storm of the Century now. Had to compromise for a Friday the 13th movie!!

More later..........................

Down almost 40 pounds

Monday, May 02, 2011

Goal was to reach 170 by today. Weighed in at 171. I am really happy and feel great!

Life with Gerry (our foster Golden Retriever) (going to name him Gizmo, but that name did not work out) is quite interesting. He and Reno are great friends, but he and Goldie really got into a fight last night. Goldie has been staying in my bedroom all day. I guess she is avoiding Gerry.

My youngest, Sarah, completed a red cross babysitting course yesterday. She is quite excited and anxious to start babysitting. I had to remind her that her sisters did not get their first babysitting job for almost 2 years after they took the course.

The twins have a softball game this afternoon. I really would like to see their team win. I am tired of their games losing by the mercy rule all the time,

I hope everyone is having a great day!!

Gismo

Tuesday, April 26, 2011

Personally, I feel if we have to rename our foster dog, it should be spelled GIZMO, not Gismo.....

I picked up the foster and he is quite beautiful. He is a Golden Retriever, but a small one. Needs to gain some weight, though, too skinny. He was given up by a European who is moving back to Europe in a c ouple of weeks. She had no toys for him and he basically was kept in a room off of her kitchen. Living with us will be a major change for him.

My daughter, Rachel, is totally in love with him. I told her we are not going to be a "failed" fosterer, ie, one who does not give up the foster. We already have two retrievers. I do not think my house can hold anymore hair balls. :)

Gonna be weird the next few days with a new dog and no husband, Paul is on a business trip. I really hope he can maintain his will power and not overeat too much.

Gotta go. We are hoping Gismo (Gizmo) will stay in a crate tonight. He is recovering from neutering surgery today.

I agree, once you get past one dog, you have a pack...LOL Our third dog was not planned, but the poor little guy was really sick, a coworker going through a divorce had neglected him, and asked me to take him, she did not know just how sick he was. We had to have most of his teeth pulled immediately, he had an infection in his heart from the bad teeth. He is part of our family now, have had him nearly three years. Every time I vacuum, I get an entire dog in the canister, I am surprised my furbabies are not bald!

Doing this from my blackberry. Today was a very bad calorie day. All they had was fried shrimp and scallops wrapped in bacon.

Sat will have to be a restart day.

Love you!

2 dogs, 3 dogs, what's the difference...

3rd day of blogging

Wednesday, April 20, 2011

I need to get some catchy blog titles. Any suggestions?

Day was interesting. Was going to take my youngest to an Earth Day field trip, but weatherman promised rain. Did not go and rain did not come. Bummer.

Blood work came back on my daughter. Lyme test was negative and so was test for rhemeutied arthritis, but there is something going on. She is to continue to take the anti infammatory pills and come back for a recheck in a month. She has been having issues with her knee since Christmas.... really would like some answers.

Did 40 minutes on treadmill and 20 on bike. Try to get 1 hour worth of exercise for at least 5 days a week.

Twins high school junior varsity softball game was actually close today for the first time. Ended up losing 5 to 4. Last game they played, they lost 21 to 0. Previous games were all ended up in the mercy rule. Really frustrating watching the team play.

Going to watch American Idol. Really not rooting for anyone, just rooting against some of them. Unlike the pundits, I am really not that impressed with anyone this year.

2nd day of blogging

Tuesday, April 19, 2011

Another busy day.

This morning I went to a women's outing at my church. They were serving foods from different countries. I didn't eat anything, just drank my diet coke.

Took my dogs to the vet. Not only am I losing weight, but my overweight golden retreiver lost 13 poounds! Yeah for Goldie! She was at 84 pounds and today weighed in at 71. Vet was pleased.

Rode my stationary bike for 55 minutes today.

Made a low fat/caloric dinner for Paul and family with leftover turkey. Was yummy, but I now need to scramble to get enough calories in for today. In addition to SP I do weight watchers and I am in need of 13 more points. I tend to eat plain almonds at night to make up the calories and points.

Tomorrow my cyber schooled daughter is supposed to have an earth day field trip, but I do not think the weather is going to hold out.

I am also having to take one of my twins back to the doctor. We are to have the results from a lyme test tomorrow. We are keeping our fingers crossed. She has been having some issues with her knee, but the orthopedist did not see any tears and ordered the lyme test. As Rachel did hunt in the fall, the possibilty of having a tick is pretty high.

Going to sit back now and watch Dancing with the Stars. Pulling for Hines Ward - GO STEELERS!!!!!
