I have been going the wrong direction in my weight loss journey. I can't seem to find my way back. I know whay to do but just can't quite do it. Lost in the woods.... emoticon

    Keep in touch with your sparkfriends. They are the most supportive people around. If one team isn't the right 'fit', then try another. You can do it.

It's been a while since I blogged. I've never been much a writer but here I go. My journey has not been a rough one. I have slowly, and I mean slowly, been losing weight since I joined last May. I feel like an inchworm. I go to Curves 3-4 times a week, eat healthy food and generally have a positive outlook on life. I don't really have anything to talk about except how happy I am. Don't get me wrong, I've had my dark moments in life, just not in a long time. I'm content to just "Lurk" about., reading other blogs and getting points. I received my book yesterday and started it right away. OK, you were warned, I'm no writer. I guess that's all I have to say on the subject.

Yea! I didn't gain any weight while on my cruise. I ate lots of protien and veggies and drank lots of water. I think I must have walked 100 miles, slight exageration. I had a blast. That part of our country is breathtakiing. The weather was perfect too. emoticon Now that I'm back to the real world, I'm getting back to my workouts and regular food. ( I miss lobster rollls & clam chowder) emoticon I also miss my cabin steward. I loved not having to make my bed...... emoticon

    Just think of the calories ou burn when you make your own bed!! Trying to find the positive side of being home!!

    Sounds like a wonderful trip, glad you didn't gain and I am glad you are back. Wouldn't it be nice to have a housekeeper to clean and cook for you? We can always dream. Stay strong. Star emoticon

Food & Cruising

I'm getting ready to go on a 7 day cruise along the East coast. Halifax, St. Johns, Bar Harbor, Boston & Newport. I'm just wondering how I'm going to maintain, not lose, my weight. Any ideas out there. You know that the all you can eat buffets on board are tremendous. I don't want to deprive myself but I sure don't want to undo all of my hard work. HELP! emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

    Watch your portions, it's vacation so eat yummy things. (Cruise food is great!) Most ships have gyms aboard--see if you can squeeze in a few workouts to counteract the food.
