I have 232 days to get my act together and I'm looking forward to the journey. It's nice to have something exciting in the future to look forward to other than work, work, work.
DH and I always take a trip for our wedding anniversary in October of each year . . . . with the exception of last year since we had to work. Since it was our 5th anniversary, we had to do something so we planted a big tree in the yard instead.
This year, we booked a 9-day fall foliage cruise that goes from Port Liberty NJ up into Canada and back.
My goal in the next 232 days is to lose the pesky final 10 pounds and maintain it,
to get fully caught up at work,
to sell the restaurant and the jewelry business (to get back to the basics of managing the rental properties and not be running around like the proverbial chicken with it's head cut off all the time),
to find someone to work at least part-time in the office that is trust-worthy so DH and I don't have to hold office hours 6-days a week every week.
and MOST IMPORTANTLY, spend more quality time with DH outside of work and learn to live life to the fullest rather than life running us.
I think that 99% of the fun of a future event is the ~A~N~T~I~C~I~P~A~T~I~O~N~ in looking forward to it. I'm going to enjoy the anticipation to the fullest and use it as a catalyst to improve my outlook and every day demeanor. No more feeling bummed out about the mountain of work on my desk and stressing over getting the tax returns done. IT'S "COUNTDOWN TO THE PARTY" TIME.
