Wrong appt. Day

We woke early. Hurried at walking tuffy in the aprk in the freezing cold light rain. Drove an hour to OHSU for my appt with my Audiologist to ahve my next mapping jsut to find it's not until thursday. Grrrrr so back home we went.

If I smile, It can only make me look more attractive than I am.

Mongolian Style...

Robert took me out to dinner last night to a place called Changs Mongolian buffet. My first experience there and I loved it. however I beleive it would ahve been more authentic and popular if it were operated and run by true Mongolian workers. Rather than all spanish speeking mexicans. Mongolian and hispanic are 2 different things.

We entered and got our bowl which is pretty much the same size as a normal cereal bowl and we selected our meants that was raw. Robert was Beef and i selected Salmon and shrimp so mine was fairly healthy and yummy. Next was a spice/seasoning bar you add to your bowl I selected Low sodium soy sauce and seasonings (lemon/pepper) and next was the veggie bar. I only had room for mushrooms but they ahd all kinds of things there like brocolli, carrots, etc.

then you wait to have 3 men cook your food on a big fire grill and they put it in a larger plate/bowl. I added soem noodles to mine as well. This dinner was $12.00 each. Lunches are $8.00

Today I work in Portland as a Volunteer at indepenndent Living Resources.

We have a Mongolian BBQ here, too. The veggies are really great, and a lower calorie choice. In fact, the restaurant is about 1/4 mile from our house. We sometimes walk. Glad you enjoyed it. Report Inappropriate Comment

If you liked that, there used to be a place called Bennie Hana of Tokyo, probably miss spelled, up there in Portland. I went to one in Brooklyn, NY in 79. It's authentic and they do the same thing there except it's cooked in a niche with your tables circling it and I don't think you pick out the foods. I never got to go to the one in Protland but they used to advertise on tv. The one in NY was fantastic. Report Inappropriate Comment

This is what I see right here out my window when on the computer in my dining room. The squirrels although they have been in the nearby trees we just started feeding them peanuts. First time my cat, Tiger saw one up close and personal. she had a field day. 3 of them were right on the other side of the window and she was trying to touch them...

Love it! Tiger has some new "friends" to watch each day. Jake and Nellie watch the chipmunks on the deck. Nellie gets frustrated that she can't get to them through the window, so she beats Jake up! Getting my strength back

For some reason the surgery I had april 1 knocked me for a loop. I've been rather tired and lazy for a while. Last night was actually my 2nt time on the boat for almost 7 weeks or more because of first the weather and then Post Op orders not to. I paddled almsot the full session last night of 1 hour. considered that fairly good.

We are saving money to take a mini vacation to spend time with my brother. he is still in the hospital. (Since October). I asked him If You can ahve anything in the world right now what would it be? Is there a DVD or a game or amgazine or book you would like? He said a good ahmburger with everything on it. He's had some really ahrd times lately and I ask all of you to please continue praying for Dennis. they ahve taken him off of so much medication. It's done him more harm than good. He's willing to jsut deal with the pain. His blood pressure is normal.. I thank my Lord for that!

Surgery can always drain you of energy. You have all the months leading up to it and are stredded even though you may not feel it. It all takes it out of you and then the surgery itself as well as all the time for healing. So just hang in there and rest when you need to and enjoy your visit with your brother when the time comes you get to go. Report Inappropriate Comment

Ditto for me on that prayer list!! If he is allowed to have a burger, why not? Ground sirloin with lettuce, tomato, mustard, a slice of pineapple.. he probably won't tbe able to eat much, but the taste is KING!! If ther eis an Island Burger near you, their specialty Island Burger with pineapple, is the BOMB!! I had one in Phoenix and now make them on the girll at home!! Sans bun.. A walk along the Willamette river

We were at River front park in Oregon City taking our morning walk. It's so beautiful there. It was actually in the 70's yesterday. I've been asked about my tattoo on my upper arm. when I was younger and feisty (who says I'm not anymore) I got this tattoo. It is the ASL sign "I love you" on my left arm. I'm also showing off my Cochlear Implant in right ear. It is Salmon run season and all the fishermen are out in their boats fishing. I sure wish I ahd a boat. The Columbia river is Closed for fishing so all boats are right here trying to catch all the fish..












Robert zoomed in on one of the pictures of the boats there's a dog it was so cute. they got off the boat and climbed the hill leaving the dog (a lab) to mind the boat while they fetched their macdonalds lunch.
