I ordered it too!

Thursday, October 01, 2009

Yesireeeee. "The Spark" Book. 2 of them. Will give one as a gift one day. And I ordered the Hunry Girl 200 under 200. Like some of you I ahve wanted that book.
I also sent the letter for the $20. gift certificate and SP points. What a bargain.

Oh thank you all for your concern about robert. He ahd hsi tooth pulled and ahs been rather quiet. He had a sleepless night. they gave him 5 (not a typo) that's right five shots to numb him. the nerve was wrapped around bone so it was a struggle. We went to Kaiser this morning and picked up a prescription for vicoden. Although I had soem vicoden when I got my wisdom tooth pulled I never took it. (don't like them) so he is sleeping like a baby now.

After leaving Kaiser we went to the Library near there because they had called yesterday. A book I ahd asked for had come in so we went to pick it up. this book was written the year I was born. 1956. (no typo there either) It is titeled "First Lady of the seeing Eye" A story of Buddy who was trained in Switzerland and travelled all the way to America to be a guide dog. the first guide dog ever. It is supposed to be a tear jerker.

Have a great day everyone.

Dentists

Wednesday, September 30, 2009

Don't look at me!
It's not me that went.
Oh I was Courteous and offeret to go with him and hold his hand.
He snarled "NO, thank you!" So I let him go alone. Weird guy...
He waits until a tooth is absolutely killing him with apin and calls for an expensive emergency appt. He's kinda like me. I am the only one who passes out jsut walking into the dentists office and smells that smell in there. Not to mention having laughing gas jsut for a cleaning.
i got used to it though. But still don't like em. I'm awaiting hi arrival home. He's been a miserable wreck for a few days in pain and sleeping most of the day. He's having a bad wisdom tooth pulled. So it's a no calorie day for robert today.

I had one wisdom tooth pulled aobut 3 months ago and blame that for my weight gain.

Now I have one wisdom tooth left and one courteous tooth left.

Courtesy is simply doing unto others what you would like them to do
unto you.

I had a horrible experience when I was young and have had terrible dental anxiety ever since. I haven't been to a dentist since I lost my last good one, over 8 years. It's amazing I have any teeth. I got an abscess back in August and finally got it pulled on the 18th. This dentist was great, got me so doped up I didn't care what he was doing. I am going back.

Coach just quit the team

Tuesday, September 29, 2009

I saw it coming. she has a very hectic work schedule and is sometimes called away and sent out of town and missing a lot of practices. Plus she is not in very good health. I do wish ehr the best of luck. I'm confused as there has been no word of a replacement.

Have a great day everyone. Here it is gray, cold and dreary and sprinkling.

"But try," you urge, "the trying shall suffice; The aim, if reached
or not, makes great the life: Try to be Shakespeare, leave the rest
to fate!"

I'm so sorry one of your coaches quit, it must be hard, because it sounds like you all get very close on your team. I hope they find a replacement soon, or that the other one can fill in the gaps. I would love to go see you race sometime - I live in Beaverton, and drive into Portland several times a week.

We started the new class tonight

Tuesday, September 29, 2009

and it went well. I feel the teacher is going really fast for one night. In past ASL classes the teacher covered what this new teacher did in one month. We are supposed to come up witha deaf game to play.
the class is mostly yount females in their early 20's and one woman close to my age. A total of 13 students. not a alrge class. But it was fun.

What can be added to the happiness of a man who is in health, out of
debt, and has a clear conscience?

I just found sparkpeople. I have just started a new program, which after all my reasearch and reading tells me that it is right for me and definately the way I want to live/eat/exercise.

I have Dr. Gundry's Diet Evolution which explains why people have genes that are killing them (diabetes) and killing the waistline.

You are so beautiful. You can get a handle on your diabetes, weight loss, anything if you put focus on the info out there. I don't know why I am not diabetic. I am 49% body fat. I am going to lose the weight and adopt the new life style. I don't know why it has taken so long for me to get to this point. I am focused now and making my diet the main focus of my every day. The best to you. You deserve it.

Like a girl scout...

Sunday, September 27, 2009

It's so funny that I can remember back all those years from when I was 6, 7 and 8 years ond. Wearing my pretty green girl scout uniform with sash and all my pins I earned from doing good duties. And the Girl Scout Promise. "On my honor I will try to domy best, to do my duty to help others, etc"

Well Yesterday Robert and i went up the hill to the Plaza where Albertson's Store is and i peddled in the shops. Payless Shoe Source, Blockbuster Video then Fred Meyers Store, Baskin robbins Ice Cream shop and Starbucks Coffee. Asking thems weetly witha smile on my face, my team shrrt and jacket and "Blind Ambition" buzz cap... "Hi, I'm Debbie. I'm on Portlands Blind Ambition Dragon boat Team. It's America's first ever Visually impaired team and we are ahving a fund raising blindfold Spaghetti dinner in October and I am creating a basket to auction off at the dinner. Would you please be kind enough to donate goods or services to fun my upcoming trip to China?" It was fun. I got a free card also to put in the basket for a free cut, blow dry and style at my friend's Hair Salon. I'm far from done but should ahve actually gottens tarted weeks ago.
I feel just like I did when I was a Girl Scout selling cookies and Calendars.
