I was still having a problem with cravings this morning and early in the afternoon, but it has gotten better. I committed to not eating anything after dinner, which will be 6:30 or 7. I just finished my dinner and logged all of my food. I came in at 1,049 calories for today.....just a little below my 1200 calorie goal. I ate pretty healthy today too. Whole wheat toast with peanut butter and a boiled egg for breakfast, 93% lean ground beef at lunch, mozzarella cheese from partially skim milk, fresh fruit for snacks, salmon, salad, broccoli, carrots, and cauliflower for dinner. I am stuffed after eating all that food for dinner. I will not be eating anything else tonight. I will have whole wheat toast and two boiled eggs for breakfast in the morning and I have prepared a healthy lunch of 6 multi-grain crackers, 2 ounces mozzarella cheese, and 1 serving of chicken lunch meat for lunch tomorrow and have fresh fruit to take for a snack at work. Roasted chicken for dinner tomorrow evening with salad and some kind of veggie. Oh....and of course, my gallon of water! Glug, glug, glug! lol I am really watching what goes into my mouth and when it goes in. I don't think my body knows what to think of this thing of eating meals/snacks at the same time every day. I suspect that is part of my problem with cravings; instead of eating a healthy snack/meal when I feel hungry, I am trying to eat on a schedule and I just haven't adjusted to that yet. I am going to give it some time and see what happens. I sure hope it gets better, and I really do think it will, especially when I start going to the YMCA again because I will be too busy to think of food all the time.
One thing I am going to do different tomorrow is add apples back into my diet. I used to snack on apples and ate 1 to 2 of them every day. I got a little tired of them, but supposedly apples actually help you lose weight, so I am going to add them back in. It is also getting harder to find nectarines and apples are in season. So, I will be taking a couple of apples to work with me tomorrow. It is better to mix things up a little anyway.
I do know one thing for sure....drinking all of this water sure is hard on me during the school day.....fortunately there is a bathroom right across the hall from the room I will be in tomorrow, but that is not true most days. lol
