I did not have a loss last week, but I really can't be too disappointed because I went running FOUR TIMES!! And all four were outdoors! We go again tomorrow, starting week 2 of C25k. I'm hoping we get to the point where we can run non-stop for 25 minutes before I leave for Pullman, but I won't be too upset if we don't. Either way, I'll have come a long way! I'm signing up for a 5k in August, and another one in October, as soon as signups start. I'm very excited :)
We realized that there is a gorgeous trail near our new house, and it's a 2 minute walk away! I don't know if it is paved or gravel, so it will decide for me when I do my runs. I'm hoping it's paved so I can bring Damien in the jogger; makes my life a little easier!
We should get the lease in the mail today...very excited!!!
Also, have my final meds appointment today. Hoping my dr is happy with what I'm taking now, since I'm going to have a new doctor as of next month!

We spent most of the weekend apartment/house hunting, which was so exhausting. I fell back on my old bad habits of eating for comfort, but thankfully only gained 1 pound. It sucked to know that I sabotaged myself so much, but at the same time it *was* just easier to have one less thing to think about over the weekend. We looked at 9 places, 1 of which didn't have a furnace (LOL!!), two of which we would take if nothing else was good, and one dream place. Unfortunately the dream house has an application in on it, so we have to wait until closing today to find out if it is still available...cross your fingers! It's a really nice home, nice big back yard that is FENCED, and nice, roomy interior. It's about $100 more than we want to spend a month, but it is still cheaper than what we are paying at our current place. And about 300 square feet larger, not including the yard or garage :)

Tuesday: potato soup and home made bread (requested by BF :P)
Wednesday: baked pasta
Friday: chili and corn bread with the neighbors
Sunday: home made pizza
I'm especially looking forward to Friday--I loooove making chili, and I love having dinner with my neighbors...win/win situation :)
It's yucky outside today, but I'm still going for a run later, and most likely also going to do 30 day shred with my neighbor...I'm going to be so pooped by the end of today!

I've really been slacking this week! It was brought to my attention that I didn't post my weekly meal plan (thanks Jared...) OOPS! There's been a lot going on this week, and weekends away almost always derail me for at least a little while. This coming weekend we will be in Pullman visiting BF's friends and apartment hunting. The first place we are going to look at is the one I like the most; I wish I had saved it for last, but it really didn't work out that way. As it is, I feel really lucky that we get to walk through it at all considering the owner is leaving town RIGHT after we view it! She was so nice and willing to work with us...that's another reason why I'm hoping it works out :) With all the hunting we've done, I've been dreaming about searching Craigslist for apartments and getting scam emails back. So annoying!
Weekly meal plan:
Tuesday: oatmeal with honey; leftover empanada filling with black beans, 1/2 an ounce of cheddar cheese, and a flour tortilla; DELICIOUS garlic/onion hamburgers with 1 1/2 ounces of colby jack cheese, two tomato slices, 1 tsp mayo, 1/2 tsp katsup, 1/4 cup soggy asparagus (BF overcooked it :/), and 1/2 cup french fries with another 1/2 ounce of colby jack cheese and 1/2 tsp katsup. DELICIOUS
Wednesday: oatmeal with honey; Subway? not sure yet; fajitas that we were supposed to have last week :P
Thursday: oatmeal, either at home or from Starbucks since we leave at the crack of dawn :P; sandwiches and fruit and veggies; not sure yet.
Friday - Monday: out of town. We are for sure having spicy potato soup on Monday (a tried and true delicious recipe!) but I'm pretty flexible on everything else. I'm bringing oatmeal with me so Damien and I have something to eat for breakfast, but the rest of the meals are pretty up in the air. Ideally we'll go grocery shopping when we get there, but we may also eat whatever our hosts have in the house.
BF talked to his RM about taking the job. Thankfully she agreed that the plan is for BF to take over the text department when the current manager transfers, but that could be anywhere from 6 months to a year. Now they just have to play switch-a-roo, move the current operations manager down to Cali and pull in a manager from somewhere else to run the South store. BF thinks that his ASM could run it by himself for the summer if B&N doesn't find a replacement fast enough, but it's not a sure thing. Tentative move date is set for mid-July, but I think any lease we sign will most likely start at the beginning of July. That's actually a good thing, because we can move all our stuff out over the long weekend and start to get settled while BF goes back and finishes things up things at the old store. I'm getting more excited about this move the closer we get--I already packed up the entire office (with BF's help :P) and started on the DVD's. Maybe started isn't the right word--they're completely in boxes, I just need packing material to prevent them from shifting. The nice thing about having a partner who works at a college bookstore is we won't have to buy any, he can just bring it home from work!
My neighbor and I are going to go into Seattle to pick up some new running shoes for me--I'm pretty psyched because I'm actually going to get good shoes this time! I normally just buy whatever (New Balance) shoe comfortably fits my foot, but Famous Footwear evidently stopped carrying the style I'd been buying...so it's time to find a new one. I'm not sure if we're going to go running today or not, but I'm betting the first run won't happen until next week, which is good because that gives me the weekend to break in the shoes.

I missed a couple of days! I've been pretty busy though, so that's a good thing :) BF got tentative transfer orders back to WSU so I've been looking for apartments pretty much non-stop. This is the WORST time of year to get news of moving to Pullman because all of the rentals start signing leases in February. There isn't a whole lot left to choose from, but we did find some pretty nice duplexes that we have actually been in before. They have HUGE floor-to-ceiling front windows, and are within our price range...so we just need to figure out if they allow dogs or not and we're g2g :) The only bad thing I can think of for them is that keeping the place warm in the winter may be a challenge...but there are always methods that we can try. It's also in a good neighborhood, close to a bus stop, and very close to a walking trail. It's reasonably close to work for Joel. Well, let's face it: anything that we're looking at is going to be MUCH closer to work than what we're dealing with now (60+ miles of driving per day.) The bummer part is that I've just made friends with our neighbors here, and even they've said they don't want us to move :( Thank God for FB and moms who work for the airlines!
I did my weigh-in early this week because I'm going to be out of town tomorrow, and I lost another 3 1/2 pounds. I have mixed feelings about this because while I am losing weight, I'm losing it a LOT faster than I think I should be...one of the cautions on my medication is to call your dr if you start losing weight fast, so I'm really hoping that it isn't because of my meds but because I've finally got my ish together and am getting enough exercise/food. I'm feeling good, my clothes are actually too big, and I don't go hungry, so I'm hoping that everything is ok...I have an appointment scheduled for the first week of June, just in case.

I woke up feeling pretty good this morning--we've finally licked DS's bad habit of fighting bedtime, and figured out why he was waking up crying the previous two nights (we're 99% sure he rolled out of bed.) This morning he didn't sleep in, but he sure was cute :) BF brought up DS's sippy and DS crawled into bed with me and snuggled until he got bored, and then proceeded to push all the buttons on my iHome until he figured out how to make the screen light up (he's OBSESSED with lights lol.)
We went for a walk at the beach this afternoon, and had a sandwich picnic (peanut butter and raspberries for me, peanut butter and honey for the little guy.) When he was about halfway done with his sandwich he abruptly stood up and said bye bye and waved, and started to walk away. How kind of him to relay his intentions first LOL! There was a teenaged couple sitting close by and the girl kept exclaiming, "He's so cute!" And he was, with his little short-alls and pirate sunglasses :)
My legs are pretty stiff this afternoon (thanks, Amanda :P) but otherwise I'm feeling pretty good. My stiff legs though are making me feel lazy, so we're moving Friday's dinner to tonight instead, and pushing tonight's dinner to tomorrow ('cuz I can't let the ground beef go another day without being cooked up.) The nice thing about meal plans that are easy is that it's also easy to move things around! :)
